Heartland Community

Heartland Community Heartland is an intentional Christian community located in northeast Missouri.

At Heartland you'll find an intentional Christian community where men, women, and youth are finding hope in the power of Jesus Christ to change lives and restore families. Year-long recovery programs for men and women, along with a Children & Youth Home, Bible College, and a Church family provide opportunities for help, growth and discipleship. An intentional community is simply one that is built

around a specific interest or goal (such as a golfing community, a retirement community, or an artist colony). Ours happens to be a group of people who believe Jesus is the answer to every issue we face – including addiction, anger, broken homes, and financial crises. Men and women who commit themselves to the process of restoration find help at Heartland through the power of God and the encouragement of people who have walked a similar path. Today would have been Charlie Sharpe's 99th birthday. Nine years without him, but his vision still drives everything we do.

Charlie was quick to give the Lord all the credit for any success, and encouraged people that "you can make a difference in the world, too. I'm nothing special. God simply had a great plan, and He graciously allowed each one of us to be a part of it." His legacy lives on through those who have found freedom and continue to proclaim the Good News to others that "Jesus is the answer!"
