Thanks to everyone who came for Harvest. It was a perfect effigy burn, good food, and great company... even if it did get chilly in the evening. Hope to see you at Samhain (Nov 7th)!

There's no way we'd rather say farewell to the last golden days of summer and welcome in the vibrant colors of autumn than by building something beautiful with our community and then watching it burn. We daresay it even beats out enjoying fried dough and a horse pull at the Tunbridge World's Fair (though why choose?).

This year will be especially festive as we plan to "put the lime in the coconut and drink them both together" in honor of our harvest gathering falling on Talk Like a Pirate Day. We're no strangers to the irreverent mysticism of sea folk (if you know, you know). This Saturday, prepare to get silly and shiver ye timbers.

Our Harvest effigies have taken many shapes over the years, from 12 foot-tall bearded Wicker Men to flower-festooned Wicker Women, horses, pigs, and altars.

Do you have a favorite from years past? An idea for this year's structure, whether you plan to attend or no (perhaps a pirate ship in honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day)?

We'll begin building (all are welcome to participate) at 2pm on Saturday, Sept. 19, sit down to share a potluck meal at 5pm, and burn the effigy with offerings from our personal harvests of 2026 at 6pm.

RE: Tonight's solstice ritual

The rain showers are supposed to stop just about the time our ritual begins so this event is ON (maybe with some modifications).

Wear your most festive boots and maybe damp-weather clothes. Wool cloaks are suberb.

Thank you to everyone who showed up for one or both of our Beltaine rituals. :-)

We had several new folks from the Barre/ Montpelier area, three old friends who haven't made it here in several years, and oodles of babies and children. It was wonderful.

If you have photos of the event you'd be willing to share, and/or would like to tell us what you liked about either of the rituals, please do!

We hope to see you at midsummer and/or Lughnasadh!
