On Sunday, we'll be celebrating our recent graduates, and commissioning our 2026 Appalachia Service Project mission team as they head for Appalachia Service Project: Buchanan County, Virginia Center early on June 14th.
Join us for worship and communion at 9:30AM, congratulate our graduates, and help us send our mission team off to serve!

Our beloved Joan Dutcher entered eternal life with God on May 9, 2026, at the age of 92. A faithful member of First Bethel for 60 years, Joan was lovingly known as the “Card Lady” because so many people were touched by the thoughtful cards she sent over the years, often filled with inspirational quotes and bits of humor.
She will be greatly missed.
Joan was the loving wife of Conrad ("Dutch") for 68 years, loving mother of Keith (Carol), Timothy (the late Kathy), Susan Asbury and the late Sandra.
Visitation is Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the DAVID J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME, 6364 Library Road (RT. 88), Library, PA. A Funeral Service will be Thursday, at 11:00 a.m., in First Bethel United
Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joan's memory to First Bethel United Methodist Church, 5901 Library Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102.

First Bethel was well represented at The Nyadire Connection 20th Anniversary Celebration at Christ UMC Sunday night. The original team from 2006 was recognized, including our own Miss Phil!
According to the African Proverb, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together".
We're honored to be one of the six churches that have partnered to support this ministry in Zimbabwe Africa.
There is much more work to be done, but count us in!
