BPC's Blessing of the Backpacks is happening this Sunday! 🎒✨

A new school year is just around the corner, and we’d love for students, teachers, families, and our whole community to join us this Sunday for a special Blessing of the Backpacks!

Bring your keys, backpack, school bag, or work bag and receive a special blessing as we pray for a safe, joyful, and successful year ahead. Whether you’re heading off to kindergarten, college, the classroom, or somewhere in between, there’s a place for you!

💙 Everyone is welcome! Come start the new school year surrounded by faith, community, and a whole lot of encouragement.

We had wonderful weather for our 2026 church picnic! ☀️ We gathered at the Lions Club for a day filled with worship, poems, songs, delicious food, ice cream, and of course, BINGO! 🎉

A big thank-you to everyone who helped plan this year’s picnic and to all who brought food to share. We’re so grateful for everyone who came and made the day so special. ❤️

Friendly Reminder: Our church picnic is next Sunday, August 23rd, rain or shine!

We will have a church service at 10:30 at the pavilion (bring food ready to serve at 11:30, warm/cold to the church service). We have electricity and a large refrigerator if necessary. Picnic and games are from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM.

The shelter is very large and is covered with lots of tables and seating, so even if it rains, that’s not a problem! Bring a main or side dish to share, and water, plain iced tea, and lemonade will be provided (bring your own soda). Dessert is provided, and we will have Beedles Ice Cream Truck! We will have Bingo with special prizes, horseshoes, volleyball, bocce, and a walking trail. (There is a Baseball Field, but bring your own gear.) Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair!

Our Dazzling Donation Days were a great success! ✨ We were able to fill the Washington City Mission Truck and collected 682 lbs. of nonperishable items (plus $150 in cash) for SHIM! ❤

This brings our Food Drive’s year-to-date amount to 3,168 pounds! 🥫Thank you to all the volunteers and our community who made this possible! Everyone really stepped up to help those in need! We truly made last weekend DAZZLING!

Of course, for our Dazzling Donation Days, we're still having our monthly Food Drive on Saturday, August 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m!!! ✨❤🥫

While you're dropping off your gently used donations, consider bringing a few non-perishable food items, too! 😉Every can, box, and bag of food helps stock the shelves for neighbors in our community who are experiencing food insecurity.
