IT'S GIVING TUESDAY...And you could choose a lot of things to give to.. and I hope you do.
When you give to CCA, a Christian Sports Ministry, you can be a part of changing a life. Yes, we teach state of the art cheerleading but we also share Jesus with every camper at every event. God has given us the calling and privilege to impact young people. Many make life changing decisions at cheer camp.
I want to share a story but I also want to invite anyone whose life was changed at CCA camp to comment and post a testimony here.
We ask for your prayers as we begin our 39th summer of "Building People Before Pyramids." And if you are able and God puts it on your heart to do so, we would appreciate your financial gifts to help our ministry. All gifts are tax deductible and 100% go straight to our ministry for venue rental, travel to camp locations, staff accommodations and meals at events, equipment for cheer and for our camp services. It's not about ME...it's all about HIM. It's not about US, its's all about THEM.. the many hundreds of lives we get to share Jesus with since 1987.
I am sharing real life stories about our ministry this Summer over and over. They are all such a blessing.
This one is from our Mission trip that we have done for more than 30 years to mission churches, homeless ministries, homeless veterans,, ministry to children of incarcerated parents and more.
During one of our services with feeding and clothing homeless children, the kids were all sitting around in a circle sharing their names and giving their prayer requests to our staff group leader. One little boy was particularly unruly and obviously not paying attention. When it came to his turn, he ignored the staff leader. The other kids chimed in and said, "Just ignore him. he's dumb, he's stupid. He won't answer you. He doesn't talk. He's deaf."
Immediately my staffer, who knew sign language because it is a huge part of our ministry as we present our summer theme songs in sign language. She began to sign to him. He suddenly got the biggest smile on his face and told her his name and gave her his prayer requests back in sign language.
Our staffer got tears in her eyes. Not only was she blessed by making the little boy feel loved and seen, she ended up feeling a calling in her life to learn ASL in college to be able to further work with the deaf. God always goes before us and has a plan. Hundreds have come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior through our ministry. But it's not about us.. it's all about Him!
As our summer begins, if you are able and feel lead, please help our ministry. We will both be blessed.
