ame pastor of First Baptist Church Carver, where he led for 17 years. Pastor Emeritus Day trained many ministers during and beyond his leadership and despite his health. Known for his giving spirit, determination, and dedication, he was a friend to many and dedicated family man. Whether it was cutting grass, visiting the sick, or sharing a cup of coffee, Pastor Emeritus Day lived each day with a mission of serving others. He retired as pastor in 1995 and under the leadership of Bishop Sherman L. Young, served as pastor emeritus until his passing in August 2017. The FBC Educational Building - Rev. Annex is currently undergoing preservation updates and renovations, including plans to house a library of Christian Education resources for all ages. It will continue to serve the community through outreach programs as well as remain the historical foundation of First Baptist Church Carver, of which Pastor Emeritus Day was a founding member. On May 22, 2016, the First Baptist Church Carver Educational Building - was dedicated as the Rev.
