ANOTHER BLESSED & YOUTHFUL SUNDAY AT MACEDONIA!

What an exciting and spirit-filled Sunday we experienced as our young people once again took an active role in worship at Macedonia Baptist Church! Our Youth Month celebration continues to remind us that our children are not only the church of tomorrow—they are an important part of the church TODAY!

Our youth led us beautifully in devotion through prayer and songs, setting the atmosphere for worship. We were also blessed by our talented Bell Ringers, who lifted their bells in joyful praise.

Sunday School – “All Are Welcome”

Our Sunday School lesson was taught by our very own Ryleigh Hamilton, from Acts 16:11–15, 40. Ryleigh did an outstanding job reminding us of a powerful truth:

We do not welcome people because everything about them is perfect. We welcome them because none of us came to God perfect!

What a wonderful reminder that the church should always be a place where people can experience the love, grace, and acceptance of Jesus Christ.

Introduction of Speaker: Shonda Hamilton
Guest Speaker: Officer Kimberly Silmon of the Bessemer Police Department

Officer Silmon shared an encouraging and much-needed message with our young people. She challenged them to be themselves, be leaders instead of followers, stand against bullying, make wise choices, and understand the dangers and responsibilities that come with social media.

Her message reminded our youth that leadership begins with having the courage to make the right choices—even when others choose differently.

The blessings continued as our Praise Dancers ministered through dance, and our Youth Choir lifted their voices singing “I Am a Friend of God,” the song that has helped carry the spirit of our Youth Month celebration.

After worship, the celebration continued at our Life Center, where our young people enjoyed an afternoon filled with games, food, laughter, fun, and fellowship!

What a beautiful day of worship, learning, leadership, praise, and fellowship!

We are extremely proud of every young person who prayed, sang, taught, danced, rang bells, participated, and allowed God to use their gifts.

Macedonia, our youth are shining, and we thank God for what He is doing in and through their lives!

As we continue celebrating Youth Month, may we continue to encourage them, pray for them, support them, and remind them:

You are loved. You are gifted. You have purpose. And most of all—you are a Friend of God!

Another Blessed Sunday at Macedonia!

We continued our Youth Month Celebration with James 2:23:

“Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.”

Introduction of Speaker: Naya Kirk
Speaker: Nakari Kirk

Our young messenger, Nakari Kirk, delivered an inspiring message about believing God and walking in friendship with Him. We were reminded that being a friend of God means trusting His Word, obeying His direction, and living out our faith. Like Abraham, we must trust God even when we cannot see how everything will work out. What a blessing to see God raising a generation unashamed to share their faith!

Our talented young designers also took center stage. The young ladies modeled dresses they helped create, while the young men wore bow ties they designed and made themselves. Special thanks to Donna Warren, Carol Calhoun, and Jacqueline Strother for sharing their time, talents, and encouragement. We are proud of our youth’s creativity, hard work, and confidence!

The greatest celebration came when we rejoiced with Heaven over the baptisms of Camden Witherspoon and Rashad Thomas Jr. Their public profession of faith reminds us of the importance of investing in our young people and teaching them about Christ.

From the message to the runway to the baptismal waters, God showed us that He is working in the lives of our youth!

Our children are not simply the future of the church—they are a vital part of the church today. As we give them opportunities to serve, speak, create, worship, and use their gifts, we help prepare them for God’s calling.

We are proud of our Macedonia youth and thank God for another blessed Sunday!

To God be the glory for the great things He continues to do through our young people!

As we continue celebrating Youth Month at Macedonia Baptist Church, we are grateful to witness God using our young people in powerful and inspiring ways. This special service reminded us that our youth are not simply the church of tomorrow—they are an important part of the church right now.

Master Christopher Scott Jr. served during the program and helped set the stage for another wonderful Youth Month presentation. We thank God for his willingness to participate and introduce our speaker.

Yes, Macedonia our speaker for the occasion was Master Kamyden Witherspoon, who blessed the congregation with a wonderful message. Kamyden demonstrated confidence, courage, and a heart for God as he stood before the church and shared what the Lord had placed upon his heart.

But Kamyden wasn’t finished! He blessed us again through song as he sang one of his favorite selections, “God Don’t Play About Me.” What a fitting reminder for all of us! God loves His children, watches over His children, protects His children, and has a purpose for every one of His children. As the Word reminds us, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” — Romans 8:31

The greatest blessing, however, came at the conclusion of the service.

We witnessed two young men—Kamyden Witherspoon and Rashad Thomas Jr.—come forward as candidates for baptism! What a beautiful way to conclude a Youth Month service. More important than singing, speaking, or participating on a program is seeing young people make a decision to follow Jesus Christ.

Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Macedonia, this is what Youth Month is all about: planting seeds, developing gifts, encouraging participation, building faith, and ultimately leading our young people toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.@
