FRIENDSGIVING 2025 🍁🧡🫶🏽

On Saturday, NLSC Women’s Ministry hosted our second annual Friendsgiving event! It was a major success with 36 beautiful ladies in attendance! The day was full of laughter, good food (barely any leftovers), silly games with fun prizes, new friendships, and a beautiful inspirational message on “LOVE” from Diane Malaquias.

Thank you to the women’s ministry team for each playing a huge role in making this day come to life: Holly, Diane, Heather & Jean 🫶🏽

Thank you to all the ladies who attended with friends and family and those who pitched in to even help clean up at the end! We had such a wonderful time!

Hosted by our NLSC Women’s Ministry 🫶🏽

In order to understand why forgiving others is so important, we must first understand what forgiveness is not.

WHAT FORGIVENESS IS NOT:
- forgetting the hurt or act that caused you pain
- fair to you

WHAT IS FORGIVENESS?
Giving others what God gave you! He gave His one and only Son Jesus to die for us and free us of our sins. Forgiving those who have betrayed you can be very freeing. No one is perfect like our God.

Check out these verses to better understand forgiveness and why God wants us to forgive:

🔹Matthew 5:43-44 (love your enemies)
🔹Ephesians 4:32 (forgive each other)
🔹Matthew 6:14-15 (forgive others sins, so God will forgive your sins)
🔹Psalm 103:10-12 (God gives us grace)
🔹1 John 1:9 (confess and be purified)

Last Sunday, Pastor Shane continued our mini series “You Are the Church”, and he pointed out the importance of community; the friends you have today will determine your future.

3 QUALITIES OF A STRONG COMMUNITY:

- we have refrigerator rights (we have complete trust and comfort with certain people in our lives)
- we all have flawed feet (no one is perfect - we are not alone in our imperfections & God loves us regardless)
- we fight lions (we stand up for each other & stand as one in the hard times)
