I love Thunderstorms! Had another good one this morning around 3am which rattled the windows!!! I love storms because they bring me to focus on what's most important as my heart slips into the Father's throne room and we begin to have a good conversation about the results of the storm! The same is true in life. Regardless of how tough the storms in life can get, each one has been important in the shaping of the relationship we have with God. Either we will draw close to Him in the midst of the storm and have one of those "good" conversations about the end results, or we will become distant, not only from Him but also everyone else around us! Storms can be great indicators in our lives (and sometimes they can be tough teaching indicators). This is why I love storms!!! Something to think about eh. Isaiah 25:4

I was reminded last night once again of that beautiful hymn, "A Shelter in the Time of storm". I was dropping my van off in town for some early morning maintenance and my daughter was doing her regular night check at the kennel when we both got caught on the road in an amazing storm. To be a child of God is to be able to place your hope, your peace, and your very life in His hands and rest assured that He's got you!!! When we made it home a tree across the street gave up from its roots. Mighty storm, and even mightier God!!!

Due to most of the roads in our area being closed from the winter storm and high winds we have encountered the last 2 days, we will still be having our instruction this evening on the 4 Cup of the Seder! We will be broadcasting live from both this page (The Preacher’s Corner) as well as the (Martin Baptist Church page. For those who are not connected to Facebook, shoot them a text and let them know they can catch this service on YouTube as well at the Martin Baptist page. The time of the service will be 6:30 pm (Central). Can’t wait to connect with you online if we can’t catch y’all in person!

I need a hand making a digital ministry possible for folks in a local hospital out here in North Dakota. Do me a favor and head to the Martin Baptist Church YouTube page and subscribe. In order to be able to stream live from YouTube so folks in the hospital can be a part of our services you have to have a minimum of 50 subscribers and we currently have 13. To subscribe to the page costs nothing, but makes a huge difference to folks who want to hear solid Biblical preaching and the hospital cannot access Facebook, but can pull up YouTube.
