Berryville Baptist Church

Berryville Baptist Church Worship @ 10:30 AM. We can't follow Jesus alone. Seeking Christ and His Kingdom, together. Berryville Baptist Church was founded in 1772 with 29 members.

So, we are connecting everyone we meet to a vital fellowship of spiritual friends, growing as disciples to Jesus, on mission together for the Gospel. The Christian walk happens in a vibrant, life-sharing community with other believers. Our long-term vision is to “connect everyone we meet to vital fellowship of spiritual friends, growing as disciples, on mission together.” We seeek to be a singpost

pointing beyond ourselves to God's Kingdom of Grace. That journey of faith happens via Sunday Worship, Small Groups for All Ages, Weekly Prayer Cells, Missions Projects, and fellowship events. Read about some of our history below:

This church exists to regularly worship God, to enlist and develop believers to become followers of Christ, to learn and apply Christ's teachings, to care for people in need, and to support local and global missions through our church and in cooperation with other churches. The church's first structure was erected on a site north of Berryville, which is today commemorated by an historical marker located on Route 340. James Ireland, who was jailed in Culpeper for preaching without a license from the local Anglican authorities, was an early pastor of the church and is buried at the original site of the church building. The current sanctuary was built following the Civil War, with additions made in the 1940's and 1950's

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, and peace. Easy enough, right? Not exactly. So much gets in the way of bearing the fruit of Jesus. Join us as we read Galatians 5:13-26, during a service of song, prayer, and the Communion at the Lord's Table.

Take a quiet moment to greet one another + seek God's presence. "Come, Holy Spirit; renew me in the image of Christ."

"Father, help me to live this day to the full, being true to you in every way.

Jesus, help me to give myself away to others, being kind to everyone I meet.

Spirit, help me to love the lost, proclaiming Christ in all I do and say. Amen."
