Pete Missions Update

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”declares the Lord.“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.“

Confused and disappointed pretty much describes us now. We know God has his plan, timing and reasons. We believe he has called us to this new ministry with Sowers. We waited months to get his go ahead to signup for June. Now we have had to cancel that commitment, because the underside of the bus did not pass inspection and we are waiting on quotes to repair it. We can guess that my body needs longer to heal from the accident ? Or because I want twenty years doing this after all the expense of getting ready, the bus needs the extra work to be totally ready to last that long?

Sowe wait...not my strong point. Ray did have to take extra blood pressure meds the day the bus failed the inspection, but he has been doing okay since.

We can't tell you what we will be doing while we wait until we know the timeline and cost of repairs so we are still here at CMTS. They have been very gracious about our changing plans again and again.

We will update you as soon as we know something.

Proverbs 19:21:"Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails."

May Newsletter -

We start with SOWERS June 5th. First stop is Long View camp in Arcade,NY and then Rock Mountain camp in Susquehanna, PA for July. Augustis the mission trip back to Honduras with Victory Baptist to finallybuild the bathhouse at the camp.

Psalm 25:4-5 Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

Whew! A lot has happened since the last newsletter. Jasmine and Matt did come and go with us to process shoeboxes in Baltimore. That is always a huge blessing. A total of 12,205,900 shoeboxes were collected this year. That is twelve million, two hundred and five thousand, nine hundred gospel opportunities!!

Jasmine stayed here for a month and they got the flooring done and a lot of the electrical on the bus.

We went to Maine for Christmas and got to visit with a few churches, then Ray came back here to work on the bus. Unfortunately as soon as he got here he got sick and was in bed for a week, so not much was accomplished.

I stayed in Maine to babysit for Misti (seven children), so she and Lily could go on a mission trip to Africa. God used them to share the good news with many and they were blessed. Thanks to all your prayers and Jasmine's help all the kids and I survived.

Ray came back and got me and we were home just long enough to clean out the car and get caught up on laundry when my Brother passed away, so back to Maine we went.

We arrived back in Pennsylvania late Wednesday night. Our driveway and paths and been all shoveled and we are so thankful.

Schools are still virtual because of the storm and cold so no Good News Clubs yet.

If the bus is ready to go April 1st it will be only by God's grace, but it is coming along slowly. We just trust him and keep doing what he asks of us.
