What a special day at church this morning… Mrs Carolyn and I were both recognized and presented plaques for our years of dedicated service in music minustry! Mrs Carolyn has been playing the piano for around 60 years (off and on - mire on than off) and I started leading the music at PG in 1980 (46 years)!
For a long time Mr Paul Gray led the congregational singing and I led the choir! When I moved my membership to PG there was not a choir, so we formed a choir! I’m still at it today! Thank you PG for the recognition this morning!

It is with sad hearts that we share that Carol Grafton is now with her Lord and Savior and has been reunited with her daughter, Dana! Here is a copy of her obituary! Pray for Sam, Daniel, Ian, Kaden, and the rest of her family! Also, pray for our church family… she will be missed!

Funeral services for Carol Ann Grafton are scheduled for 11 AM Friday, November 21, 2025, at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bernice, LA, with Bro. Steve Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM.

Mrs. Grafton, a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bernice, LA, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025, at the age of sixty-eight. Nursing was her life’s passion. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over thirty years and loved taking care of her patients. Mrs. Grafton loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing. She loved her family and adored her grandsons above all. Mrs. Grafton’s relationship to her Lord Jesus Christ was the priority of her life. Serving Him through the church brought her great joy.

Mrs. Grafton is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Sam Grafton; father, William Peter Lester; son, Daniel Grafton; sisters, Mary Preston, Linda Barr, and Janice Hall; brother, James Preston, and wife Veronica; and grandchildren, Ian Grafton and Kaden Grafton.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Vera Elizabeth Lester; daughter, Dana Carolyn Grafton; and sister, Maureen Bascom.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Lay, James Christian, Ian Grafton, Kaden Grafton, Jay Roberts, and Joey Neitz.

Can you name the ones from Pine Grove Baptist Church that served lunch to a few hundred BCM students at LA Tech today! The love of JESUS in action! Appreciate the others who couldn’t come, but baked and or prayed. Also appreciated the others who couldn’t churches that were there and not in this picture. I know Sharon BC, Fellowship BC, and Culbertson BC were there working. Im not sure who else.” It was a great success!

We would like to let our members and all of you know....

Mt. Patrick Baptist Church would like to invite you to hear the Back Forty Bluegrass Gospel on Saturday, September 20th at 6:00 pm.

On Saturday, October 11th at 2:00 pm Mt. Patrick will hold a 'Raise the Roof' Gospel Singing Fundraiser. Bro. Tim Post and Katherine Tubbs along with The Sanctuary Quartet will perform. A Small country church needs a new roof, pray that God will bless our event.

FYI: The Homecoming committee met a couple of weeks ago and discussed Homecoming 2025! It was decided and voted that we NOT HAVE HOMECOMING this year. This is due to several of our faithful members being sick (either recently bring in the hospital and still recovering and/or scheduled for surgery)!We are sorry to have to do this… we will plan for a 2026 Homecoming Service!
