Today, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, we pause to thank God for the incredible women who have shaped our lives through love, sacrifice, wisdom, and faith.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, spiritual mothers, mentors, and every woman who has poured love into others. Bless them today with strength, peace, joy, and the deep reminder that their love has made an eternal difference.

For those celebrating, may this day be filled with joy.
For those missing their mothers, bring comfort.
For those longing to be mothers, bring hope.
And for every woman who has nurtured, guided, and loved others well, may they know they are deeply seen, deeply valued, and deeply loved.

Last night was another meaningful evening in the life of The River Church of the Nazarene.

We gathered together to continue our Jumping for Jesus ministry, taking old T-shirts and turning them into braided jump ropes that will be shared with children around the world. What may seem simple is truly powerful. These ropes become a tool to bring joy, connection, and ultimately the love of Christ in a tangible way.

This ministry reflects who we are. We believe in living to love, serving with purpose, and using what God has placed in our hands to make an impact.

A special thank you to Miss Janet for the vision she brought years ago. It continues to grow and flourish, and we are grateful for her heart and leadership.

Thank you to everyone who came out and served. It was a great night of fellowship, laughter, and purpose. As you can see from the pictures, it was a night filled with joy.

And even our new little friend Gator joined in on the fun. This beautiful Chesapeake puppy kept us entertained all night, and the puppy kisses were a highlight for many. Thank you, Kaitlyn, for bringing Gator out to be part of the evening.

We are excited for what God will continue to do through this ministry.

Good morning Church family!

Just a quick reminder that tonight is a very special night in the life of our church… it is Jumping and Stripping for Jesus!

Now if you’re reading that and thinking, “What in the world is that?” let me share for a moment. Over the past year, led by the amazing Janet, we have built a powerful and fun ministry where we take old, worn-out T-shirts, strip them down, and turn them into jump ropes. These ropes have gone all around the world and are being used to love on children through missions, Backpack Blessings, and even one of our sister churches in Florida.

Here’s the exciting part… we are running low on inventory, and tonight we have a chance to make an impact.

This is where YOU come in.

No matter your age, no matter your skill level, there is a place for you tonight. You can help strip T-shirts, braid jump ropes, organize colors, or simply jump in and be part of the team. This is one of those ministries where everyone belongs, everyone contributes, and everyone leaves knowing they were part of something bigger than themselves.

Teenagers, this is also a great opportunity for you to earn service hours if you’re needing them for graduation, while being part of something meaningful and fun.

We’ll be together from 6:00–8:00 PM at the church, and we’d love for you to bring your favorite snack to share. Over the past events, the fellowship has been just as meaningful as the mission.

And yes… we might even have a little VeggieTales playing in the background for the kids… and maybe for a few adults who need a break too.

So come on out tonight. Bring your family. Bring your energy. Bring your heart.

Let’s build something that reaches far beyond our walls… all while having a great time together.
