Hope is a beautiful thing.
It points us to the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, renews our strength and purpose, and compels us to move forward when movement feels impossible.
In its absence, darkness grows, fear increases, and despondency deepens. In its presence, darkness and fear scatter, despondency is defeated, and we find the courage to put one foot in front of the other, defying the despair that seeks to conquer us.
There are many things that fail, but the love, grace and compassion of God are not among them.
They are more unyielding than the strongest trial that afflicts us.
Our God is steadfast. Unmovable. Unwavering.
And so is our hope.
