We would like to share an update regarding how Jesus The Savior Church will handle public prayer requests going forward.
Prayer requests are often personal and temporary, so rather than sharing public prayer requests as permanent Facebook or Instagram posts, we will share them through our Stories. This allows us to make prayer needs known while also recognizing that these requests may only need to be shared for a limited time.
For privacy reasons, any email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal contact information included with a public prayer request will be covered and will not be visible when the request is shared, unless the person submitting the request specifically asks for that information to be publicly disclosed.
Because each public prayer request needs to be reviewed and prepared individually, one request at a time, we cannot guarantee that a submitted request will appear on our Facebook or Instagram Stories immediately. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we take the necessary steps to protect everyone's privacy while making these prayer needs available to the church community.
As a brief clarification regarding a prayer request we received on Saturday, August 29, concerning Selective Service: the upcoming changes to Selective Service registration expected to be implemented by December 2026 do not mean that the military draft is being reinstated in December. The Selective Service System currently states that there is no active draft and that registration does not mean automatic induction into the military.
We hope this clarification provides reassurance to those who may have heard about the upcoming registration changes and become concerned about what they mean.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you and for trusting us with your prayer requests. We will continue to handle them with care, respect, and appropriate attention to privacy.
