This past Sunday seemed to be a "launching-Sunday". We are not quite into our fall schedule yet, but President Tom made many announcements of what lies ahead for us.
Next Sunday (13th), we will experience Sunday School Rally Day which will start with a breakfast at 9:00am. At our worship service following, we will install our interim pastor, Pastor Jim Fowler. The quilter's announced that they are back quilting again on Tuesdays. Their first day was today. They followed quilting with a Bible Study at 1:30pm. Confirmation will begin on Wed. the 16th. And lastly, the Fall Bazaar was announced to take place on October 24, 2026. And so we wait to see what things God will do with us to finish out 2026.

Summer brings family visitors from afar. They are a wonderful addition to our worship service. It is inspiring to see that God's people span the country, the continent and the world. This week we had family visitors for the baptism of little Ellis and because of a baby yet to be born. Both these babies brought visitors from New York. (from the city of New York and Lake Placid).
Pastor Fowler preached on the miracle of Peter walking on the water. He asked if this was a bigger miracle than last week's miracle of the feeding of the 5000 hungry people.
This gives us pause to wonder at the miracle of the birth of a little child and all the people that are brought together to welcome that baby as he is baptized a child of God..

Family Fun Night took place this past Sunday. It was perfect night for picnic food, games and just enjoying the beautiful world around us. The only glitch in the night came with a wind that was a little too much for Taylor to put up his glorious balloon. He has said maybe another calmer night he will reappear. See the pictures of his balloon below. He was gracious enough to let us see what we missed this time.

This week the gospel that visiting Pastor Aaron Matson preached on was from Matthew 9. This chapter contains the parable of the sower. He emphasized the importance of sowing seeds with no regard for where they fall, or whether they might bear fruit. He encouraged us to sow where ever we are in the world.
At the same service, a new banner was introduced for the sanctuary. The banner is a reminder that we are to bloom and grow in faith. The gospel theme to sow everywhere and the banner theme of blooming in our faith worked perfectly together. Selah and Ilene created the new banner. Read the picture story to see what inspired them.
