Hi everybody. It’s been a while. I’m usually a person of many words, but today I’ll get right to the point: if you are a q***r or a trans person who would like to get married, I will marry you and your partner free of charge. Just send me a DM or an email ([email protected]) and we will plan a beautiful ceremony together. I may humbly request that you travel to my home area, just because I have a family and a career and can’t do a whole lot of traveling, but there will be no other cost to you whatsoever.

I started Bluegrass Holistic Ministry in early 2017, a time in which there was a lot of concern about marriage equality in Kentucky and all over the country. I know things never really “got better,” but now those very valid fears and concerns are coming back around again. I honor your feelings, I ally myself with you, and I pledge to use my own voice to support you, always.

Y’all means ALL, full stop, forever. Bluegrass Holistic Ministry stands in passionate defiance of bigotry and inequality. It always has and it always will. I know that doesn’t solve any of the larger problems we are facing, but I wasn’t willing to just say and do nothing. This is me pitching in.

It's been a long while, Facebook. As it turns out, the social media hustle isn't really for me. I've been celebrating love this whole time, though, and participating in some beautiful wedding ceremonies. If you're getting married and the more traditional route isn't for you, maybe Bluegrass Holistic Ministry is.

Bluegrass Holistic Ministry is almost a year old, and what a journey it's been. To say that I am "honored" to have witnessed so many love stories would be a terrible understatement. This year, I've shared in so much laughter. I've partnered with couples and supported them in creating something truly beautiful for their wedding day. Most of all, though, I've had the opportunity to be in the presence of people who freely and willfully decided to make a sacred commitment to one another. Seriously, is there anything greater in this life than to be in the presence of true love? That's what BHM is all about.

I really wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of you who have shared or recommended BHM this year. I see you guys remembering this ministry on social media and in-person. That's amazing, and I'm so grateful. I hope you'll continue sharing the news that BHM exists to all of your friends and throughout your communities.

This ministry isn't going anywhere. In fact, in the years to come, I only hope to grow this small business, partner with more couples, and continue to spread this important message to more and more people: that LOVE IS LOVE and everyone who chooses to be married has that right. Whatever you can do to help me attain that goal would be so appreciated.

I like to say that at Bluegrass Holistic Ministry, "we are the available alternative." The alternative to what? Well, if a "traditional" wedding ceremony isn't for you, BHM just might be. There's nothing wrong with traditional ceremonies if that's what's right for your love and partnership. However, there aren't a lot of alternatives out there for partnerships that don't quite seem to resonate with the traditional, are there?

There is now.

At BHM, our goal is to really celebrate your journey. There is no limit to what your wedding ceremony might entail.
