The breaking of bread in Acts 2:42 relates to Jesus going to the cross and giving His body as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. Forgiveness is the third element of a healthy church. We should practice forgiveness toward others, as God forgave us. Wednesday night, GCC Unshakeable Youth wrote their sins on the wall, then blotted them out in red because the blood of Jesus covers our sins when we ask Him for forgiveness!

Michelle is such an inspiration to me. The way she loves Jesus is so beautiful and it shows in everything that she does. Even in her lowest low, she was always praising Jesus and giving him all the glory for everything he’s done in her life.

Last night, GCC Unshakeable Youth discussed how fellowship is vital at this stage of their faith development. In Acts 2, it is the second important element of a healthy church. What does fellowship look like? It’s helping each other, meeting together for meals and prayer, mutual encouragement, and a shared mission of telling others about Jesus. Specifically, our fellowship last night consisted of teamwork and encouragement as we played volleyball and wiffle ball together, enjoyed some delicious pizza provided by The Clark’s (thank you!), and a Bible study where we were able to learn and grow together!

The end of the month also calls for a celebration of August birthdays! Happy Birthday, Sunny!

Last night at GCC Unshakeable Youth, we dove into one of the four key elements of a healthy church: teaching. 🙌

This lesson comes straight from reading Acts 2, where we see the early believers devoted to teaching, fellowship, forgiveness, and prayer. These are foundational practices for a strong, healthy church—and they’re just as important for us today!

As followers of Jesus Christ, it’s so important that we read God’s Word, learn what it says, and put it into practice. When we know His Word, we can share it with others and teach them about God and all He has done! 📖❤️

Since learning involves following directions, we put that to the test with a couple of fun games—“In & Out” and “Don’t Touch That Color!” Let’s just say our youth got a chance to show us how well they can (or can’t 😂) follow directions!

A huge THANK YOU to Kaydon & Nate for providing some delicious walking tacos for everyone at the beginning of service! 🌮👏

And remember: a meal is served every Wednesday at 6:45 PM for everyone from preschool through 12th grade!
