Kate Capato, Visual Grace, is a Catholic sacred art painter and speaker rooted in the tradition of the faith. She creates oil paintings inspired by prayer and the truths of our faith and is greatly influenced by the Renaissance masters due to her gifted time studying in Florence Italy.

As a missionary of Divine beauty, Kate travels around with her art speaking about beauty and the ways the Lord shares his love with us through it. Her husband, Pawel, joins in with his talent of music to create a fuller experience of a transcendent encounter with Christ.

On Friday, March 7th, the Knights of Columbus held their first Lenten Fish Fry in the Parish Life Center. The Knights served over 300 parishioners and the feedback about the fish and sides was glowing. Chef Ryan did it again with his top notch kitchen crew. If you missed the event, or would like more great fish during Lent, the Knight's next fish fry will be Friday, April 11th in the Parish Life Center, starting at 5:30 pm. Despite inflation, the Knights have kept the prices the same - $10 for adults; $5 for kids 6 - 12; Free for kids under 6.

Please join the Knights of Columbus as they present the Pilgrim Icon Program. The sacred Heart of Jesus Icon was painted in 1767 by Pompeo Batoni and was venerated in the Church of the Gesù in Rome. This reproduction bears the blessing of Pope Francis, through the Papal Almoner, and is one of more than 300 icons traveling across the world. The icon will be on display at St. Stephen following each mass on Saturday the 22nd & Sunday the 23rd of March.

Our parish is blessed with an abundance of resources which we wish to share with our neighbors in need. There will be a St. Joseph’s Altar in the Narthex from March 10-23. It celebrates the feast of St. Joseph on March 19th. Please bring non-perishable foods such as pasta, pasta sauce, canned meat and cereal. Place your offering on the St. Joseph altar, say a prayer of thanksgiving for all you have and for those you are helping, and pray for your family to be a replica of the Holy Family. If you are blessed with work, enough to eat and money for a rainy day, give thanks to God for His goodness. Thank you for your support in honor of St. Joseph and our neighbors in need!

Helping Hands is a thrift store that was founded over 46 years ago in 1976 by volunteers to aid those in need. Proceeds from the thrift store are then used to meet the needs of Benton County residents through various assistance programs. It is supervised by a volunteer board, which consists of representatives of each of 23 partner churches, including St. Stephen Catholic Church.

Helping Hands offers rental, utility, and medical assistance programs to help those who are struggling get back on their feet. It also has a food pantry and clothing closet to help with basic needs. Our next parish volunteer day is Saturday April 26, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. We have to have a minimum of 10 volunteers. We welcome anyone who would like to share their gift of time and talent to help with the registers, sacking, working on the sales floor, or working in back with receiving and sorting.

If you are a teen or have a teen in the home in need of service hours for school or confirmation, Helping Hands always has a few projects to work on too. Please contact Denise Pesek at [email protected], or (870-814-8303) for more details.
