Have you ever noticed how much energy it takes to hold everything together?
The schedule. The family. The responsibilities. The plans. The future. We spend so much of life gripping tightly to the things we care about that we rarely stop to ask: What happens if I let go?
This Sunday, Pastor Joe concludes Milestones: Moments of Faith with a personal message called Let Go and Let God. As he prepares to begin a summer sabbatical, he will reflect on faith, trust, leadership, family, and the challenge of releasing control when God is inviting us into something new.
Through the stories of Jesus stepping away to pray, the disciples learning to trust, and the Psalmist lifting his eyes toward God, we’ll explore a simple but difficult truth: our help does not come from our effort, our plans, or our ability to keep everything moving. Our help comes from the Lord.
Whether you’re facing a transition, carrying a heavy responsibility, or simply feeling tired, this message is an invitation to pause, breathe, look up, and remember that God is still at work.
______
Key Takeaways
Head Change (we hope you learn this...):
Faith is not only about doing more for God. Faith is also learning to trust God enough to release control and remember who is truly carrying the weight.
Heart Change (we hope you feel this...):
Your identity is not rooted in what you accomplish, produce, fix, or lead. Your identity is rooted in being loved and sustained by God.
Life Change (we hope you live this...):
Create intentional space to look up, reconnect with God, and trust Him with the people, responsibilities, and future that you care about most.
