Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

The word “careful” here means “anxious.” A more common term used is “worry.” Some worry more than others and then there are some who are just plain worriers. We don’t have to worry because it goes against God’s wishes for His children to worry. He has made it possible to not worry even in the most difficult circumstances. When you feel anxiety rising in you, ask God to make His presence known to you. Let Him know that you are trusting in Him.

God is the Almighty. He is the Lord of all! All things come from Him! He is our Provider, our Deliverer, our Fortress, our Trust, our Life. He is the King of Kings. He is still on His throne. HE IS STILL IN CONTROL!

Here is just some of what David said to the Lord when He delivered David from the hand of all his enemies:

Psalms 18:1……..
1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemi

6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.

God loves you!

2 Thessalonians 2:16
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

God loved us so much that He gave His Son, Jesus, so that, through Him, we can be encouraged and strengthened in every good thing we do and say. Jesus, the Christ, died a cruel death on the cross so our sins can be forgiven and so that His Spirit can be given to us as a free gift to live within our hearts. He is there not only to empower us and direct us but He also is there to remind us to spend time with God, our Father, and include His Son, Jesus Christ in everything we do and to invite Him everywhere we go.

Are you still in love with Jesus? Before you remember anything, remember Him. If you forget anything, don’t forget Him.

How long has it been since you stopped what you are doing to humble yourself and stare at the heavens? How long has it been since you realized God is God and you are only human? Been a while? You need to know something. He is still there. He hasn’t left and He still loves you as much as He did when He gave His Son to save you.

Hebrews 13:5
5b………………………… for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

God loves you!

Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Lord Jesus must not be put in a box! He must be presented to sinners. The Spirit of God will guide us as we do this. But if we try to put Jesus Christ into these nice little doctrinal packages, one marked “salvation,” another marked “sanctification,” another marked “baptism in the Holy Ghost,” maybe another marked by some “denominational name,” we will fail to convince sinners that they need Him. We are only presenting our preferences or our ideas which will save no man.

No matter what, we must present Jesus Christ in all His power, and rely on the Holy Spirit to deal with each sinner.

Mark 11:25-26
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Is it worth missing heaven in order to keep punishing someone for something they did wrong? I am so thankful that my Father, which is in heaven, didn’t do that to me!

Let it go! It’s not worth it!

Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Often my mind gets entangled with the cares of this world, every day problems, schedules, sicknesses etc. But when I work to come into the presence of God (Philippians 2:12), He gives me rest (Matthew 11:28). His peace (Isaiah 6:23) from being in His presence is beyond my understanding but it keeps my heart in the midst of all the chaos and troubles of this life (Philippians 4:7).

The presence of God is a privilege only for those who know Him as Savior and Lord. When you seek Him with all your heart the benefits of His presence magnifies. Your mind and heart will be protected by His Spirit Who helps you to have a clear mind from the clutter of life here so that you can concentrate on God and His Kingdom (Colossians 1:1-3).

Psalm 112:7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

2 Samuel 22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

This is a time that the world seems unsafe, unstable and even threatening. The freedom we have enjoyed in America is on the line. I don’t know who to believe anymore. Therefore, I can find few I can trust. But God’s promise to shield and protect all who make Him their refuge. I can and will believe that! I can trust Him! He is a safe place in the midst of trouble (Proverbs 18:10).

Finding shelter in God requires us to trust Him and to pour our hearts out to Him (Psalm 62:8). No matter what is going on in your life, it is always the right time to tell Him that you trust Him. Communicating with your Heavenly Father strengthens your relationship with Him by building your trust. As He reveals Himself to us more and more, we find the way to move forward in life in His presence.

God is always available and His presence is very real. Do not fear, turn to Him and say: “Jesus, I take refuge in You.”

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

God does not keep us from trouble; He says "I will be with you in trouble.” No matter what the troubles are, none of them can separate us from our relationship with God. We are “more than conquerors in all these things”.

Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Supernatural, wonderful, extraordinary things happen to those who hold on to the love of God when all odds are against them. Only one thing can account for it — the love of God in Christ Jesus!

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

I once heard Adrian Rogers say:
Faith is not getting man’s will done in heaven. It is getting God’s will done on earth. The end result of faith is God’s will. You cannot have faith without hearing from God (John 8:47). Neither can you please Him without it. When God speaks, He is going to say, “This is what I want done and I want you to believe it.”

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

2 Corinthians 4:17
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

The way you know a true Christian is by their personal, passionate and overwhelming devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ. He has put his inward emotions and feelings aside. He wants to know Jesus more and more on a personal level.

Disasters will occur but a Christian wants to more about how God takes care of Him than about how to he will change uncomfortable circumstances.

The apostle Paul was imprisoned, shipwrecked, starved and stoned yet we hear him speaking about “light affliction which is but for a moment” (Romans 8:35-39).

It is not the reward that a saint looks for; it is to hear our Lord say:

Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Regardless of where you are in your personal circumstances, relax because Christ is in you and you are in Him. Trust because He will bring you joy. Commit to follow Him wherever He leads you even if that means disaster.

Are you recognized as a Christian?

God loves you!
