Word of Life Bentonville

Word of Life Bentonville Reaching out together to touch the world around us with the love of God. We are not a denomination.

We are a fellowship of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ; We desire to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are simply a fellowship of believers brought together by God’s love and common beliefs.

Your words carry power. Your faith carries authority. And the God of the universe has placed both in your hands.

This week we were reminded that every born-again believer has been given the God kind of faith -- not to strive for, but to walk in daily. As Proverbs 4 tells us, the Word of God is life to those who find it and health to all their flesh. What you speak shapes the course of your life. Speak the Word. Speak the desired result. Speak life.

Daily Devotional / Day 5: Be Still, For He Has Risen
Reading: Exodus 14:13-14; Habakkuk 2:20; Habakkuk 3:17-18

Devotional: After God has declared His coming, His dwelling, His gathering, and His choosing, Zechariah 2:13 gives one final command: be silent. Not because hope is lost, but because God has risen to act. Habakkuk 3:17-18 paints a picture of a man who has nothing left by any earthly measure, yet chooses to rejoice in God alone. This is not passive resignation. It is the highest form of trust. There is a kind of striving that masquerades as faith but is actually flesh trying to force what only God can do. When God rises, striving stops. You have prayed. You have believed. Now be still and watch Him work.

This past Sunday was incredibly special as we witnessed public declarations of faith through baptism and celebrated our Baby Dedication Sunday. We are standard-bearers for the next generation, and we can't wait to watch these families and individuals grow in Christ. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!

Daily Devotional / Day 4: Trust, For He Has Chosen
Reading: Romans 11:28-29; Joel 2:25-27

Devotional: Romans 11:29 carries a truth that has rescued many weary souls from the edge of giving up: the gifts and callings of God are irrevocable. He does not take them back. He does not revoke His covenant because you stumbled. The Israelites experienced exile as a consequence of their choices, yet God looked at them and said, "I will again choose Jerusalem." Again. That single word carries enormous weight. It means the choosing was not undone by the failure. Joel 2:25-27 promises restoration of what the locusts devoured. Whatever years or opportunities feel lost to you, God is not finished restoring what was taken.

Daily Devotional / Day 3: Expect, For He Is Gathering
Reading: Acts 2:42-47; Revelation 7:9-10

Devotional: God's purposes have never been small. When He promised Zechariah that many nations would join themselves to the Lord, He was drawing back the curtain on a redemptive plan far larger than any single city or generation could contain. The gathering described in Revelation 7:9-10 is the culmination of that plan: a multitude from every tribe, tongue, and nation standing before the throne. You are part of that story. Your faithfulness, your giving, your invitation extended to a neighbor or coworker, these are not small things. They are threads woven into the largest gathering in human history. God is still adding to His church.

Daily Devotional / Day 2: Rest, For He Is Dwelling
Reading: John 1:14; Exodus 33:12-17

Devotional: Moses made one of the most honest declarations in all of Scripture. In Exodus 33:15, he told God plainly that if His presence did not go with them, he did not want to go at all. Moses understood something that is easy to forget in the noise of daily life: the presence of God is not a bonus to the journey, it is the journey. God's promise in Zechariah was not merely to rebuild Jerusalem's walls. It was to dwell in the middle of His people. John 1:14 tells us that promise became flesh and moved into the neighborhood. He is not distant. He is here.

Daily Devotional / Day 1: Rejoice, For He Is Coming
Reading: Zechariah 2:10-13

Devotional: The command to rejoice in Zechariah 2:10 does not arrive after the circumstances have changed. It arrives the moment God says, "I am coming." This is the nature of faith-filled joy. It does not wait for proof before it celebrates. The people of Jerusalem had unfinished walls, unresolved enemies, and uncertain futures. Yet God said rejoice. Why? Because His approach changes everything. Your situation may be incomplete today. Your restoration may not yet be visible. But God has declared He is on His way. That declaration alone is sufficient reason to lift your voice in praise right now.
