We’re excited to invite you to be part of a special community event: Bentonville Prays

This multi-denominational gathering is an opportunity to come together as a community, united in prayer on the National Day of Prayer.

We’re especially grateful that our Primary children are participating by creating a meaningful paper chain—each link representing something they are praying for. This will be displayed at the event as a beautiful symbol of faith and unity.

All are welcome to come, participate, and feel the strength of our community coming together in prayer. We’d love to see you there!

If you’d like to attend the breakfast, here is the link to save your seat:

Members of the Bentonville Stake,

You are invited to our 3rd annual performance of Rob Gardner's Lamb of God Oratorio next weekend. This 90-minute Easter oratorio portrays the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We testify that Jesus Christ lives! He is the resurrected Son of God.

We encourage you to invite your friends to attend with you. As you do so, you will both feel a greater closeness to Christ and to each other. You and they will find renewed hope, peace, and strength in Him.

With love,

Today, a semi-truck arrived at the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank carrying 20 tons of food donations from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as part of the America250 food and service initiative. In recognition of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, the Church has committed to delivering 250 semi-trucks of food to communities in all 50 states, helping provide millions of meals nationwide.

Elder Alan C. Gauldin expressed deep appreciation on behalf of Northwest Arkansas for this generous gift as it was delivered this morning, noting the timely impact it will have for families facing food insecurity in the region.

The delivery was accompanied by a morning of service, as volunteers — including members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and friends from the community — worked side by side at the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank to help move, sort, and prepare food for distribution.

JustServe Coordinator Alisha Lindsey said:

“Food donations like this are powerful, but it’s the hands of volunteers that truly make the difference. Service is what turns generosity into action. Through JustServe.org, anyone can find a simple way to get involved, serve their neighbors, and be part of strengthening our community.”

This week, the Bentonville Single Adults had the privilege of volunteering with For The Love NWA, a nonprofit food truck dedicated to feeding the hungry, cultivating community, and fighting poverty in Northwest Arkansas. Since its inception in 2020, For the Love has been serving free meals to those in need, operating on the belief that everyone deserves dignity and a place at the table.

One of their signature initiatives is Neighbor Nights, held every Thursday night in Bentonville. These events are more than just meal distributions; they’re gatherings that foster genuine connections among community members from all walks of life. Volunteers and neighbors come together to share food, stories, and support, breaking down barriers and building lasting relationships .

Our experience volunteering was both humbling and inspiring. The volunteers assisted in meal preparation and service, but more importantly, they engaged in conversations that highlighted the resilience and strength of our neighbors. It’s a powerful reminder that combating food insecurity isn’t just about providing meals—it’s about nurturing a sense of belonging and community.

Food insecurity remains a pressing issue in Arkansas. Recent data indicates that nearly 18.9% of residents experienced food scarcity between 2021 and 2023, the highest rate in the nation. In Northwest Arkansas, Benton County’s food insecurity rate was 13.5% in 2022. These statistics underscore the critical need for organizations like For the Love NWA and for volunteers like the Bentonville Stake Single Adults!

Check out JustServe.org for you next volunteer opportunity and make a difference!

Thanks, volunteers!

On February 14, 1853, a groundbreaking ceremony in Salt Lake City began a 40-year journey of faith and sacrifice, culminating in the dedication of the Salt Lake Temple in 1893.

A current and comprehensive renovation to strengthen this sacred house of the Lord for future generations is now nearing completion.

Today, exactly 172 years after the groundbreaking ceremony, I am delighted to announce that the temple will reopen for tours during a public open house from April 2027 to October 2027.

We warmly invite our friends to come and learn about God’s plan for His children and rejoice in the love of Jesus Christ. Details about this event will be shared as April 2027 approaches.

As houses of the Lord now dot the earth, I invite you to cherish your time and service at the temples closest to you as we prepare for the reopening of the Salt Lake Temple in 2027.
