In all toil, there is profit. Proverbs 14:23. Today is Labor Day. It is a day to honor the social and economic achievements of hard workers in today’s world and throughout history. Obtaining a job is the first step in building a life for yourself. It is part of the American Dream. Every job is important. It takes us all to work smoothly and to honestly make America Great. Of course, under God’s guidance and leadership is how We truly get great. God blesses us with the health we have. The automobiles to get us to and from our designated places of employment. God blesses the companies so they can provide you with a salary. Relax and enjoy today plus give yourself a pat on the back. It isn’t easy getting up every day to go to the same place doing the same thing over and over and most times without any recognition for a job well done. But you did it and because you sacrificed you earned that paycheck which allows you to make a life for yourself and your family. That is something to celebrate!!

Forsake not the Assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some is. Hebrews 10:25. Today is Sunday. It is the Lord’s Day. I hope you are making plans to attend church. This should never be a question of will I go? It should be a commitment that I will be there. Why is it important? Because The church is Jesus’s Bride. God established the church. The work of winning lost souls to Christ and serving the community is too important. When life is over, the only thing that truly matters is where we spend eternity plus there are heavenly rewards to gain. God knew like any club or organization, we are more successful when we pull together and God knew we would need each other thru the tough times and to give each other encouragement plus motivation to keep up the good fight of faith. Hope to see you at church. For sure, God will know if you go.

Hear Instruction and be wise. Proverbs 8:33. Listening is an art. You first must remove distractions. Shut off your phone, radio, and tv. It takes patience to learn to shut everything out and totally put your focus on what God’s word is saying. Practice reflecting on what you read or heard. Validate it back to you so that you grasp what the full meaning is. Listen. Learn. Apply. That makes one wise.

But the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost shall teach you in all things. John 14:26. We are in the Classroom of Life and the Holy Spirit is the Teacher. He doesn’t just specialize in one subject but in All things. Now a good student will listen to the teacher. Meditate on what has been taught. They will take some notes to reference back to and last but certainly not the least, the student will apply the knowledge into action in their every day life. If the Holy Spirit gave out report cards, what would yours say?

The end of that commandment is Charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned. 1 Timothy 1:5. Is your Faith of quality substance? How strong is it when life presents its problems, frustrations, disappointments, or great losses? How sincere are you about your faith? Is it genuine that you live your life on a daily basis by? How committed are you to your faith? How committed are you to your church? The church is Jesus’s Bride so when you neglect it do you think that flys with God? If ever member were like you could the doors of the church even stay open and operate? Do you need to get in Faith Shape? Today is the perfect day to start working out

Thou shalt love the Lord with all thy heart and all thy soul and all thy mind. Matthew 22:40. Now that’s a whole lot of loving. These three parts of make up our emotions, our innermost deepest feelings and desires. It is what we focus and think on. How much do you love Jesus? On a daily basis Do you think about Him? Do you talk to him? Do you want to please Him? Do you serve him by helping others and promoting the gospel? To say the words I love you is important. God & Jesus wants to hear it. But when you back it up one thing but to show your love that means everything.

Let the earth be glad; and the sea roar and the fullness there of. Psalms 96:11. As I stand beside the ocean and listen to the sea make her rhythmic music of soft waves lighting the shores, this verse came to mind that Nature itself sees the wonder of God in all his power and majestic character that it praises God and is glad. God sure put a world together behold and a sight to experience for our enjoyment as well as means of living and to learn from. Wherever you are right now, take a moment to see the beauty of God’s world

Declare His glory among the heathen. Psalms 96:3. Patrick Mahomes, Super Bowl Champion, regularly gives God the credit for the success He has achieved. Denzel Washington gives God thanks for what He has accomplished in the film industry. Steve Harvey of Family Feud lived out of his car for three years but regularly tells everyone that it is God who has blessed him with what he has today. We may not have the world stage as they do but when God brings us opportunity we need to make sure everyone knows what blessings we have come solely from the throne of God in his graces and favors He showers us with.
