What the World Looks Like Without God
When the two witnesses are finally killed, the world throws a party. People send gifts. They celebrate in the streets. It is the only moment of rejoicing recorded in the entire book of Revelation, and it is a haunting one. What are they celebrating? The silencing of God's voice. The removal of His witnesses. And what follows is a world completely unrestrained, a world without the influence of the Holy Spirit, without the prayers of the church, without the light of the gospel pushing back against the darkness. It is a sobering picture. But it is also a reminder of something we can easily forget. Right now, today, the world is a better place because believers are in it. Your prayers matter. Your presence matters. The church is not just a building people attend on Sundays. It is a living, breathing force that holds back evil and points people toward hope. Do not underestimate what God is doing through you. The world may not always appreciate the light, but it desperately needs it. You are part of something far bigger than you can see. Stay faithful. Stay engaged. The influence you carry as a follower of Jesus Christ is more significant than you realize.

If every Christian in your community suddenly disappeared, what would be lost, and does your daily life reflect that kind of meaningful, gospel-centered presence?

God, help me never to take lightly the role You have given me in this world. Remind me that my faithfulness today has real consequences for the people around me. Amen.

Light in the Darkness
Two witnesses. Clothed in sackcloth. Standing in a hostile city. Preaching to a world that does not want to hear them. That is the picture Revelation 11 gives us, and it is not a comfortable one. But it is a deeply encouraging one. God describes these witnesses as candlesticks, sources of light in a place consumed by darkness. Their job was not to be popular. It was to shine. And they did, faithfully, for 1,260 days, in the most dangerous environment imaginable. You may not feel like you are living in a tribulation-level world, but the darkness around us is real. People are hurting, confused, and searching for something they cannot name. The gospel is still the only answer. And God has placed you, right where you are, to be a light. You do not need a platform or a perfect testimony. You need faithfulness. The two witnesses did not wait for a better moment or a friendlier crowd. They simply obeyed God and spoke the truth. That is the call on every believer. We are here to repel darkness, not blend into it. Your presence in your workplace, your neighborhood, and your family matters more than you know.

God Always Sends a Warning

Before judgment falls, God speaks. That is simply who He is. He is patient, loving, and unwilling that anyone should perish without first hearing the truth. In Revelation 11, God raises up two witnesses to preach the gospel in the darkest hour the world has ever seen. They stand in a city that has rejected God, in a world ruled by the Antichrist, and they speak anyway. That tells us something powerful about the heart of God. He does not give up on people easily. Even when a nation turns its back on Him, even when culture mocks His name, He still sends a witness. He still makes a way for people to hear. Think about your own life for a moment. Before you came to faith, did God send someone across your path? A friend, a family member, a stranger who said just the right thing at just the right time? That was not an accident. That was God, faithful to His own character, making sure you had a chance to hear. You are living in that same grace right now. Today is still a day of opportunity, for you and for the people around you. God has not stopped speaking, and He has not stopped sending witnesses. The question is whether we are willing to be one of them.

"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." - 2 Corinthians 6:2

When you look back at your own journey to faith, who did God send to be a witness in your life, and are you being that same kind of witness for someone else today?

Prayer
Lord, thank You for being a God who warns before He judges and who loves before He corrects. Help me to never take for granted the grace You have shown me, and give me the courage to be a witness to those around me today. Amen.

Today Is the Day
He has already been here. He walked the dusty roads of Nazareth. He healed the sick, raised the dead, and loved the unlovable. And then He went to a cross and shed His blood for the sin of every person who has ever lived. He was rejected by many. But His sacrifice was not wasted. His blood paid for sin completely, and His offer of salvation remains open to anyone who will call on Him by faith. But here is the urgency. He is coming again. And when He comes, the opportunity to choose Him will be gone. Today is the day of salvation. Not tomorrow. Not when life settles down. Today. If you know Jesus, live like it. Let the reality of His return shape how you spend your time, how you treat people, and how boldly you share the hope you carry. If you do not yet know Him, this is your moment. He shed His blood for you. He made the ultimate sacrifice. He wants to save you if you will simply call on Him by faith. He is coming, and He will be here very, very soon. Do not wait. Look up, and come to Him today.

Everything Is Lining Up
The preparations happening in Jerusalem right now are remarkable. A golden menorah has been built. Priestly garments are complete. Red heifers have been brought to Israel. The instruments are ready. These are not coincidences. They are signposts. God has a plan, and that plan is moving forward on His schedule. What once seemed like distant prophecy is becoming present reality. For those who follow Christ, this is not a reason for anxiety. It is a reason for anticipation. Jesus told His disciples that when these things begin to come to pass, it would be time to look up. Not down in fear. Not around in confusion. Up, in expectation of the One who is coming. We are living in that moment. The signs are not theoretical. They are unfolding in real time, in real places, with real people making real preparations. If your heart has felt heavy lately, let this encourage you. God is not scrambling. He is not surprised. Everything is falling into place exactly as He said it would. Your Redeemer is coming, and He is closer than He has ever been before. Look up today. Your redemption is drawing near.

One Way, One Name, One Savior

In a world that celebrates every option and questions every absolute, the message of Scripture stands firm and unmovable. There is one way to be saved, and that way is through Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 does not leave room for negotiation. Salvation is not found in sincerity, in tradition, or in effort. It is found in a name. One name. The name of Jesus. This is not a narrow message born out of arrogance. It is a generous message born out of grace. Because the one way is open to everyone. Jew or Gentile, young or old, broken or put-together. Anyone who calls on the name of Jesus Christ can be saved. The blood of Jesus did what no animal sacrifice ever could. It did not simply cover sin. It removed it. He became righteousness for us, taking what we deserved and giving us what we could never earn. If you know Him, let that truth fill you with gratitude today. If you are still searching, let it fill you with hope. The door is open. The invitation is real. And the Savior who paid the price is ready to receive anyone who comes to Him by faith.

A Promise Keeper Who Never Quits
In 1948, after nearly 1,900 years of displacement, Israel became a nation again. Most of the world did not see it coming. But God did, because He promised it. That single historical moment should do something powerful for your faith. If God kept a promise that took nearly two millennia to fulfill, what does that say about the promises He has made to you? It is easy to grow impatient. We pray, we wait, and sometimes the silence feels like a no. But God's timing is not our timing, and His faithfulness is not measured by our calendars. He does not forget. He does not abandon. He does not fail. Every year since 1948, Israel has faced threats that should have overwhelmed her. And every year, she has stood. Not because of military strength alone, but because God's hand of protection has been visible to anyone willing to look. He is the same God who watches over you. The promises He has spoken over your life are not on hold. They are in process. Trust Him with the timeline. He has never once broken His word, and He is not about to start now.

Measured and Claimed: You Belong to God
There is something deeply personal about the image in Revelation 11. God tells John to measure the temple, the altar, and the worshipers. In Scripture, measuring is not a passive act. It is a declaration of ownership. God is not simply observing what is happening in Jerusalem. He is staking His claim. That same truth applies to you. If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ, you are not forgotten, overlooked, or abandoned. You are claimed. You belong to Him. Life has a way of making us feel invisible. Circumstances pile up, prayers seem unanswered, and doubt creeps in. But God does not measure what He intends to discard. He measures what He intends to keep. The same God who has never abandoned His promises to Israel has never abandoned His promises to you. His faithfulness is not selective. It is total. He sees you, He knows you, and He has claimed you as His own. That is not a small thing. That is everything. Let this truth settle into your heart today. You are not drifting through life unnoticed. You are held by a God who measures carefully and keeps completely.
