Dear Career Professional and Resources,
On behalf of Total Wellness By Choice LLC with the support of community partners Pastor Andre’ Palmer of Bethel Christian Restoration Center , Carleton Brooks of Pipeline 2 Purpose and Ambie Bell of Sustainable Solutions Foundation, it is our great pleasure to invite you and your representatives to the 1st Annual Career & Wellness Empowerment Workshop to be held at 246 Pipestone Rd from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
What is wellness you may ask and how does it relate to careers and employment in general?
Wellness is addressing and the meeting of all needs to build up an individual for life and the workforce. The Wellness dimensions include but limited to: emotional, occupational, intellectual, environmental, financial, spiritual, physical, and social. This in turn enables them to live their best life. Needs that will be addressed include mental health, transportation, and housing just to name a few. This in turn makes them a great employee and community member.
Employers, if you knew a possible employee had access to resources to meet all areas of need in their life, would that make for a great applicant?
Community resources, how productive would you be meeting the program guidelines and standards due to meeting the community where they are. At this community event participants will look to you for resources and support.
At the TWbyChoice Career and Wellness Workshop Session One we will have employers and resources together working collectively for a common goal.
Featuring the theme of "Facilitating career development and total wellness", the workshop will cover various issues and initiatives like why and how to develop and gain resources. We will have break out sessions addressing mindset, accountability, job readiness training, health, finances, parenting, communication, mental health and childcare. Community partners will include the Health Department, Summit Financial, Habitat For Humanity, Center For Better Health, Core Counseling, Spectrum Lakeland (CRM) and you all.
TWbyChoice and the community partners will make the best efforts to make the event an open and interesting forum for sharing experiences and developing mutual cooperation.
