Services for December 14,2025 have been canceled due to the large snowstorm and extreme temperatures in the area.

The church has canceled their Saturday afternoon service for October 18, 2025 so members may attend a special meeting in Missouri. The business meeting normally held on Saturday afternoon will be held after service on Sunday afternoon. Communion will be held on Sunday morning after service and before lunch.

Smyrna Church will be holding their annual June meeting on June 6,7,8 2025. Services begin Friday evening at 7. Saturday services will begin at 10, 1:30 and 7. Sunday services will begin at 10 and 1:30. Potluck meals will be served Sat lunch and supper and Sunday lunch. Invited ministers are Elder Mark Hatcher and Elder Dillon Thurman. We pray for blessed services and quality time with the Lord’s people.

It was decided Smyrna will not hold services tomorrow, January 19, 2025 due to the forecasted frigid weather forecast. Everyone stay safe and warm.

Due to the continued freezing temperatures and forecasted more snow we will not be holding services at Smyrna this weekend, January 20 and 21. The street is ice covered and only about one lane and the snow plowed has formed large drifts in the parking area. The sidewalks are not able to be shoveled either at this time. We pray all are keeping warm and safe. We hope to meet in February.

Due to extreme weather conditions Smyrna Church will not be meeting for service January 13, 2024.

Last night the small town our church is in had a bad storm roll through. The church sustained some damage to its electrical system and there is a tree down in the street next to the church. Due to these issues our services for tomorrow have been called off. If all repairs and clean up can occur this week we will meet next weekend for our usual services on Saturday and Sunday.

Our annual June meeting begins this evening June 10,2022 at 7:00 in our church building in Bentley, Illinois. Services will continue tomorrow, June 11 at 10 followed by lunch at our dining hall and afternoon service around 1:30 followed by supper about 5:30 and then evening services around 7. Services on Sunday will be held at 10 followed by lunch and the afternoon services will conclude our meeting. Our invited ministers are Elder Philip Blankenship and Elder Steve Jackson both from Arkansas. We invite all to come and worship with us.

With the severe weather forecast for our area the services for this weekend, January 15 and 16th have been canceled with concern for our members. We pray we will be able to meet together again in February. We pray the Lord continue to bless you and keep you in His care.

Smyrna Church will not be meeting this Sunday, January 9, 2022 due to winter weather conditions this past week causing snow, ice and drifts on parking areas and sidewalks and the forecast of icing conditions and subzero temperatures this weekend. We hope to meet the following weekend for our Saturday and Sunday services.

We will not be meeting this coming weekend for service. December 18-19. Many are still not well and we pray for all to rest and be restored to full health. May the Lord bless us all. We hope to meet again in January weather permitting.
