Our Outreach Team is collecting new, unopened personal hygiene products throughout the month of September to create care packages for people who are court-ordered to go to Serenity House or jail. Many of these individuals arrive with only the clothes on their backs and little or no support from family, so we want to help provide some of the basic personal care items they need. Cathy and Sherie have generously made 9 special pillowcases that we will use to pack the donated items.

If you are able, please pick up an extra item or two the next time you are shopping and help us fill these pillowcases with much-needed essentials. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. Monetary donations are also welcome and will be used to purchase additional items needed for the care packages. Donations will be collected throughout September and delivered to Serenity House in October. Together, we can provide more than hygiene products—we can offer dignity, comfort, and a reminder that someone cares. ❤️

One of the beautiful things about being United Methodist is our connection! 💛

Our Salt Creek Cluster, made up of First United Methodist churches in our surrounding communities, gathers regularly to share ideas, encourage one another, and collaborate in ministry.

Today, we at First United Methodist Church of Bensenville, had the joy of hosting our fellow pastors for a wonderful time of conversation and fellowship. Pastor was especially excited to share our church’s gifts of hospitality and love with our fellow pastors….expressed, of course, through delicious food! 🥘

A special thank you to everyone who helped welcome our guests, gave of their time, or brought something delicious to share around the table. Your hospitality helped make today’s gathering extra special!

We are grateful for our United Methodist connection and for the ways we are better together in ministry! 🙏
