Jesus IS the Son of God AND God.

Hebrews 1:1-14

Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. 2 And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. 3 The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. 4 This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.

The Son Is Greater Than the Angels

5 For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus:

“You are my Son.
Today I have become your Father.[a]”

God also said,

“I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son.”[b]

6 And when he brought his supreme[c] Son into the world, God said,[d]

“Let all of God’s angels worship him.”[e]

7 Regarding the angels, he says,

“He sends his angels like the winds,
his servants like flames of fire.”[f]

8 But to the Son he says,

“Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever.
You rule with a scepter of justice.
9 You love justice and hate evil.
Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you,
pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”[g]

10 He also says to the Son,

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth
and made the heavens with your hands.
11 They will perish, but you remain forever.
They will wear out like old clothing.
12 You will fold them up like a cloak
and discard them like old clothing.
But you are always the same;
you will live forever.”[h]

13 And God never said to any of the angels,

“Sit in the place of honor at my right hand
until I humble your enemies,
making them a footstool under your feet.”[i]

14 Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

*God always has a famine for the Prodigal, those who step away from God to do their own thing, to do me for a season, I need a break from church, a pause. God always has a way of allowing conditions of your season to show you the detriment of your habits. When God doesn't have your attention, He will disturb what does* - Jerry Flowers

Luke 15 :11-32
Parable of the lost son

11Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. Kingdom Dynamics: Repentance 12“And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them hhis livelihood. 13“And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with 4prodigal living. 14“But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in ◊want. 15“Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16“And he would ◊gladly have filled his stomach with the 5pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. 17“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18‘I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, iI have sinned against heaven and before you, 19“and I am no longer worthy to be ◊called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’ 20“And he arose and came to his father. But jwhen◊ he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had ◊compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21“And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven kand in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22“But the father said to his servants, 6‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23‘And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24l‘for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry. 25“Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26“So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27“And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him ◊safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’ 28“But he was ◊angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. 29“So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30‘But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ 31“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32‘It was right that we should make merry and be glad, mfor your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ”
