The Spirit Named Truth
The book of John Chapter 8:32 tells us that we (followers of Jesus) will know the truth and it will set us free. Think of that specific word “Set” , a definition specifically meaning to release, liberate, or restore to liberty. Let us dive into God’s word so that we may not be led astray.
2 Timothy 3:1-17 NLT
Paul tells Timothy to prepare himself for difficult times. He doesn’t say this to instill fear but to warn us to build ourselves up as one would train for a fight. Stay faithful to the teachings he was given. Stay close to God and His will and that deceivers would come and try to use Jesus’ message for their own personal gain
2 Timothy 4:2-5 NLT
Paul encourages preparedness. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good sound teaching. There will be people who will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths. We see this all over the world. Sinners instead of repenting try to twist the word of God so that they will not have to submit.
Guard the Gospel; Protect it from False teachers
Suffer for the Gospel; Embrace hardships and difficulties
Continue in the Gospel; Stand firm in His word. Don’t give up - Don’t waver
Proclaim the Gospel; Your life and what comes out of it is our best proclamation, not only what we say
Proverbs 3 NLT
There are no greater words than these in our Bibles; Trust in the LORD with all your heart;
Do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
