Faith Removes the Impossible
Mountain Be Moved! In scripture we see Jesus using His words differently than many of us use them. Jesus clearly spoke with authority. In fact that is what puzzled many in the temples when Jesus spoke, remarking how much authority He spoke with. Let us dive into scripture and see if we ourselves are speaking in the way Jesus taught us.
Matthew 17:14-20 NLT
In Matthew we see that Jesus drives out a “stubborn” demon, one that His disciples couldn’t get rid of. Jesus shows them it was lack of belief that prevented it. He teaches them that something was lacking, what was lacking? Revelation of what they already had.
Mark 11:12-25 NLT
In Mark a tree that didn’t have fruit was cursed/rebuked by Jesus. What was the result? Death to the tree. Jesus then goes on to “clear the Temple” We have become the temple of God, Holy Spirit lives in us. We must “clear” ourselves of the unrighteousness of the surrounding world, it clutters the temple. Jesus shows us the importance of knowing what the temple is for, mirroring the one who the temple is built for. When we do this we speak with authority to whatever thing that is before us. We don’t ask the Mountain to be moved, we Speak to it!
1 John 5:1-12 NLT
We have achieved victory over our flesh through Faith. Faith in God that Jesus defeated sin and cleared us the temple. This made way for the Spirit of God to come and be in the Holy Place that you and I have now become! If God can do such a miraculous work in us, what else can He do? Move mountains, big things, things that couldn’t be done before.Mark 11:24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
