Relationships really matter.

They help you to become who you are becoming.

Our small church is striving to collaboratively learn more about living the way of Jesus in Bend with each other. God has given gifts to many different people to help encourage each other to love others well and to do good things in the city.

We know we could settle for a podcast, a spotify playlist, and a good hike.

But we know those things can never help us to become the people Jesus is inviting us to be.

When we gather, we get the opportunity to know others and be known, to grow together in the Jesus way, and to see our messy lives as the very place where God wants to use us to help others know how good He is.

We aren't going to lie. It's pretty ordinary at times. It can be a little messy. But we also know God takes the messy and the ordinary and creates the extraordinary.

As a community, we are taking the time to make space for the Spirit to speak through scripture and then sharing it with others. Here is an opportunity to participate in what we did on Sunday, but don't miss out on the fun of sharing what God might encourage you with someone else. We are striving to find fun ways to practice the way of Jesus with others.

New Book Alert from Tish Harrison Warren. If you are looking for something that might help shape your imagination about how God can meet you in the midst of difficult seasons, as well as discover historic practices that can help sustain you through these types of seasons, then this book is for you. We are going to be quoting this book for a while.

This is going to be a fun event that we are collaborating with 3 other Bend church plants. The goal is to have a conversation about who Jesus is and why that matters in our lives. It's a place to ask questions and process with others without feeling pressure to make conclusions. First round and food is on us. So many times we allow what we are feeling or seeing around us to determine what we think reality is. Which makes it really important to continue to remind ourselves of what is true.

What is true?

God is always near.

God is always available.

We want to let truth pattern our mind and keep us moving through what we are going through.

Remind yourself of these two truths often.
