Here's a glimpse of what's been happening at Providence...
Grammar School has been packed with activity, as second graders participated in an earthworm lab day, exploring the environment of these subterranean creatures at various stations. Fourth graders concluded their classroom observation of chick incubation and delighted in carefully meeting the hatchlings face-to-face.
In Logic School, seventh graders prepared meals for the conclusion of their nutrition unit, gave presentations on what made their meals healthy, and shared the fruits of their labors with their classmates.
In our houses, upperclassmen have begun the presentation of ties and scarves to house members new to Rhetoric School; freshmen are seen and recognized for their character by other students in their house and receive a special memento with a word of affirmation as they begin their high school journeys.
And, today, we were thrilled to share our morning with honored guests, who joined us for our annual Grandparents' Day! Our amazing parent volunteers and administrators prepared a wonderful event for grandparents, as they enjoyed time engaging in an activity with their grandchildren; hearing from teachers during a message from Head of School Mr. Billman; and participating a special chapel service, where students joyfully led our special chapel service in worship and gave recitations in everything from Scripture and poetry to a Latin passage and a Shakespearean monologue.
Curious about learning more about us? Our first informational meeting for the 2027-2028 school year is coming up soon on Tuesday, October 20, from 8-10am. The morning will begin with our chapel service for Pre-K to 12th grade students and will continue with hearing from our administrators and a panel of parent co-teachers about our model. Afterwards, families who are interested may stay for a tour of our campus. There's no need to RSVP; check-in begins at 7:40. We look forward to meeting you there!
