For such a time as this.

More than 150 bishops of the Episcopal Church have spoken—together—calling people of faith to respond to this moment with clarity, courage, and love shaped by Jesus. This video and the accompanying letter are not partisan statements. They are baptismal ones.
At our baptism, we made promises that were never meant to stay safely inside church walls. Promises that bind belief to action. Faith to flesh. Prayer to public life.

We promised:
To proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ.
To seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbor as ourselves.
To strive for justice and peace among all people, and to respect the dignity of every human being.
Each time we say “I will, with God’s help,” we consent to being shaped—again and again—into people who tell the truth, protect the vulnerable, and refuse to look away when dignity is threatened.

This letter and video are an invitation to remember who we are.
To remember the vows that claim us.
To let our baptism speak louder than fear, convenience, or silence.
May we have the courage to live what we have promised.
With God’s help.

We’re excited to introduce our Bishop’s Committee here at St. Cornelius!

This group helps guide and support our church as we continue to grow, serve, and discern where God is leading us. We’re grateful for their willingness to step into this role and for the care they bring to our church family.

Here’s what each of them shared about serving on the committee:

Dan:
“My time at St. Cornelius has been very meaningful for me, and I would like to give back. I hope that doing so enables others to benefit like I have.”

Charles:
“Very excited to have Kate and Dan joining me on the committee. Looking forward to continuine God’s growth of St Cornelius.”

Kate:
“I look forward to helping see our church family adapt to our new space, better define our wants and needs as a family, and to celebrating both our unity and diversity.”

As we prepare for our upcoming move, we’re inviting the community to help in a couple of ways! 📦✨

If you’re able to volunteer with the move or have garage-style shelving, totes, or storage containers you’d be willing to donate, we’d love to hear from you before purchasing new items.

If you’re interested in helping or have questions, please reach out to Angie Tabat or email [email protected]. Thank you for supporting this next chapter in our shared life together!
