Catholic Churches around the world will be celebrating the Solemnity of Corpus Christi (Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ) this weekend (June 6 and 7.) This special day is celebrated on the Sunday following Trinity Sunday. Many parishes host special Masses and Eucharistic processions, and Queen of Martyrs is no exception.

All nine of the Masses this weekend will have prayers to acknowledge the occasion, and there is a special procession planned following the 11:00 a.m. Mass at St. Jude Church (737 Hackett St., Beloit.) Although the prayers during this reverent procession will be primarily in Spanish, everyone is invited to participate in the walk around the block. There will also be hymns, music, and a blessing for the community.

The Corpus Christi Procession will begin shortly after 12:00 p.m. just outside the church.
