CONGRATULATIONS, ALL! We were honored to receive a prestigious Agape Award, which is presented by the National Philoptochos to recognize one outstanding chapter in each metropolis for their philanthropic projects. Congratulations and many thanks to our board for all their hard work, and to our members and friends who generously support our efforts to be a “friend of the poor.” The award includes the stunning Icon of the Maternal Lineage of Christ, featuring Jesus, His mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother! The Christ Child is held by His mother the Theotokos (Mother of God), who is held by her mother St. Anna, who in turn is held by her mother St. Maria.
