Today, we recognize National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day and the importance of making HIV education, testing, prevention, treatment, and supportive services accessible to Hispanic and Latino communities.

Here’s why awareness matters: In 2022, Hispanic/Latino people accounted for 33% of estimated new HIV infections in the United States, with 10,500 estimated new infections.

Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a community. Addressing HIV means more than talking about numbers. It means breaking down stigma, increasing access to care, and making sure people have the support they need to live healthy and stable lives.

We recently received a wonderful donation of handmade lap quilts and individual tote bags from the Connect, Create & Serve Group, and we are so thankful for their generosity!

Each quilt and tote bag was handmade with care to provide our residents with a little extra warmth, comfort, and encouragement as we head into the chillier seasons. 🧵🧣
