🎄 We need your help to spread some Christmas cheer! 🍊

As we look toward the holiday season, our list of local families signed up to receive a fresh fruit basket this Christmas is already growing rapidly. For many in our community, this simple gift brings a lot of joy, nutrition, and comfort during the holidays.

We can’t do this alone—we need your support to make sure we can provide a beautiful basket for every single family that submits a request this year!
How you can help:

*
* 🎁 Sponsor a basket by donating funds.
* 🤝 Volunteer to help us assemble and deliver them.
*

Every little bit helps us bring a smile to a family's face. If you are able to contribute or want more details, please send us a DM or comment below! 👇

We can accept donations by Venmo, GoFundMe, check or cash

We’re beginning a new series tomorrow morning in John’s Gospel called Until He Comes Again—a look at Jesus’ final words to his disciples on the night before he died. Chapter 12: 20-36. But before we get to that farewell conversation, John takes us to one final public moment in Jesus’ ministry. This is what we’ll be looking at this week and next.

Come join us for a time of worship, fellowship and learning.

Sunday's sermon was The Church That God Builds. Ephesians 2: 19-22 What are the main points?

God builds his church through his Word into a people for his presence.

God builds his church (v. 19)
God builds his church through his Word (v. 20)
God builds his church into a people (v. 21)
God builds his church for his presence (v. 22)

It's so important that we study God's Word which is the Bible so that we can mature in our understanding and grow in the Lord as Christians and build his church which is the body of believers that He indwells and not the physical building. Through reading his Word we learn to discern His guidance spiritually to do His good works through the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 reads, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance [patience], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law". This is the inner transformation of a believer's heart which then is expressed outwardly through good works and is a testimony of a believers faith. If you're unable to read well to comprehend, consider an audio bible. Listen as it's being read. Pray for understanding, discernment, and wisdom. Understanding is knowing the "why" behind the scripture while discernment is evaluating what to do with that information. Wisdom is the practical application of both understanding and discernment over time. If understanding is the map and discernment is the compass, wisdom is the actual journey and the ability to navigate it successfully.

Have a wonderful, blessed week!

Elkhorn Valley Summer Camp Registration is open. If you're interested in sponsoring campers this year, please message us. nvite a friend, neighbor, grandchild, cousin and siblings to attend this summer!

FROM THE ELKHORN VALLEY WEBSITE:

Our theme this year is Devoted. This theme will be taught through every camp. What we want campers to take away each week this summer are ways that they can be more devoted to God away from camp. At camp we know there are no distractions to fully focus on God, but after camp is where we see all the distractions come flooding back into our lives. This summer our hope and prayer is that we can equip our campers with ways of staying Devoted to God and see how He can help us through anything!

Biggest change in the forecast since yesterday is to delay the arrival of snow a bit. Some light snow can break out during the first half of Saturday night but heavier snow should hold off until after midnight. Here is a look at how snow will accumulate through Sunday night. We can add another inch or two overnight Sunday night into Monday morning.
