Ahh yes, Resurrection/Easter Sunday has passed (with all the excitement of egg hunts, candy, and the Bunny), but the excitement can continue as we worship the Risen, Living Savior. "the reason for the season." Join us on Sunday at 8:00 am to worship Him who died for our sins and arose to bring us eternal life.

You are welcome to join us on April 25 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for a dress workshop. Lunch will be provided. Come when you can and stay for as long as you can. You don't need a lot of sewing skills, we will find jobs for all who want to participate. The dresses are being made for a mission called Hope2Others. 1 Corinthians 3:9--For we are co-workers in God's service.

Today is Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday. This day is the day Jesus was betrayed. The day begins with the Last Supper and moves onto His betrayal and arrest. These events are recorded in all 4 gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). Tonight at 7:00 pm, Pleasant View Church will be holding a special service to celebrate this holy day. You are welcome to join us as we begin the final events that lead to the joyous celebration of Easter.

Oh my, where does the time go? Autumn begins on the 22nd. Isn't God wonderful!! Living here in Wisconsin (as many of us do), we get the opportunity to visualize God's handiwork through all 4 seasons. What a privilege to praise him "For the beauty of the Earth." This week Pastor Bruce is basing his sermon on Mark 11:11-19 and titled it "A Turning Point." Join us on Sunday at 8:00 am and find out about "A Turning Point."
Just an FYI, we are still receiving monetary donations for the Maasai project until the end of September. The goal is to raise monies to send to the Maasai Rescue Ministry in Tanzania. "The ministry exists to rescue girls in our tribe from FGM and forced early marriage. Our desire is to give them a chance to mature and have options in life, ESPECIALLY that of introducing them to Jesus Christ and knowing the purpose and dignity that he created them to have as women." We also are gearing up for the Operation Christmas Child, also known as the shoebox ministry through Samaratin's Purse.
In October, Clarity Clinic will be holding their live and silent auction.

Happy Labor eve, eve Day!!!! Tomorrow is a genuine Day of Rest according to scripture (Genesis 2:3). For Monday we can look to Matthew 8:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” This Sunday, Pastor Bruce's sermon title is "The Work of God" John 6:29--a fitting title indeed. Come join us at 8:00 am, we'd love to meet you. On Monday, Labor Day, enjoy another day of rest.
