Thank you to Rev. Dr. Elaine Strawn for joining us this Sunday at All Souls and sharing her message, True to Our Values.

Through reflections on Memorial Day traditions and readings from Buckeye by Patrick Ryan, we were invited into a thoughtful conversation about memory, respect, and the values that shape us—both the ones we carry forward and the ones we quietly choose to leave behind.

Your words reminded us that remembering is more than looking backward—it is an opportunity to reflect on who we are and who we hope to become. Thank you for helping us explore what it means to live true to our values. ❤️

We are grateful to everyone who joined us in worship and reflection this Sunday.

Thank you to Dr. Paul Robinson for joining us this Sunday at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church.

In his talk, “Who and What Should We Remember?”, Dr. Robinson reflected on the meaning of Memorial Day — not only as a time to honor those who gave their lives in service, but also as a reminder to carry forward the lessons of history and remember the people who have shaped our own lives in meaningful ways.

We are grateful for the opportunity to pause, reflect, and consider how remembrance can guide us toward compassion, understanding, and peace.

Sorry we missed the opportunity to share this thank you yesterday — we wanted to make sure we had a great shot of Josh speaking.

Thank you to Josh Ghiloni for sharing his deeply personal message, Take Hold of My Hand, for You Are No Longer Alone.

Josh invited us into a vulnerable and powerful story about grief, struggle, and finding hope in unexpected places. Through his reflection on music, friendship, and healing, he reminded us that connection can appear in ways we never anticipate — and that even in our darkest moments, we do not have to carry life alone.

We are grateful for Josh’s honesty, courage, and willingness to share such a personal journey with our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and held space for this important conversation.

Thank you to guest speaker Hayley Young, 9-year-old Sam Young, and one very curious puppet named Jeffery for bringing so much warmth, laughter, and honesty to Sunday’s multigenerational service, “Nurturing: A Job with No Instructions.”

Through humor, storytelling, and heartfelt reflection, they reminded us that nurturing isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up for one another with care, patience, curiosity, and love. Whether as parents, friends, neighbors, mentors, or community members, we are all capable of helping one another grow.

Thank you for sharing your time, creativity, and spirit with the All Souls community. Services like this remind us that wisdom can come from every age—and sometimes even from a puppet. 💛
