It's that time of year again! Help us to prepare for the winter by removing all decorations that are on or around monuments and headstones by November 1st.
We're so grateful to our cemetery caretaker Chris Missler and other volunteers who have worked so hard to maintain our cemetery, however, we need your regular financial support to provide this maintenance well into the future. Please consider making a financial contribution for the care of Immaculate Conception Cemetery today!

On Tuesdays, ICS students may elect to spend their “Recess with Jesus” in Adoration, and today, students are able to make use of our school’s “Marian Hall” on the second floor to meditate on the mysteries of the Rosary and the love of Mary, our heavenly Mother and special Patroness, on this her special feast day! Take a moment, wherever you are, and join us in prayer—offer a rosary or even a few Hail Mary’s for the needs of the Church and for one another.

Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, pray for us!

This year, the Diocese of Toledo promoted its third annual “Walk for Vocations”, which is a 5-day 70+ mile walking pilgrimage that took place from “Priesthood Sunday”, September 27th, starting at Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral in Toledo, through Thursday, October 1st, where it concludes today at Our Lady of Consolation Basilica Shrine in Carey. Led by Vocations Director Fr. David Kidd, Monsignor Tad Oxley (St. Mary Millersville, St. Michael Gibsonburg), and Fr. Joseph Mominee (Corpus Christi Toledo), the walk aims to unite Catholics from across our diocese in prayer and penitential sacrifice for an increase in priestly vocations in the Diocese of Toledo.

Of course, since many of us were unable to join them personally on this pilgrimage walk, the school community of Immaculate Conception gathered spiritually for a day of retreat and reflection yesterday, in solidarity with our fellow pilgrims on the road. We began with Mass for St. Jerome at IC Church at 8:00am and then made our way to the Sorrowful Mother Shrine, where our students were organized into their respective house groups and participated in three different ‘stations’ to help highlight priestly vocations: 1) Fr. Al & Dcn. Jim talked about discernment to priesthood and consecrated religious life. 2) Students painted small stones with sacred themes at another station. 3) There was also a ‘writing station’ where students created cards and artworks of encouragement for a special seminarian in our diocese.

After packed lunches and some free time to roam the beautiful grounds at the shrine, Fr. Al led everyone in a Rosary Walk for Priestly Vocations, praying the Luminous Mysteries together. With 17 Adults and 168 students present, we contributed over 277,000 steps of our own to this year’s Walk for Vocations! Way to go, Saints!

The day concluded with an ice cream social generously provided by Vincent and Sandy Loparo and their family. Needless to say, our young Saints really enjoyed themselves on Wednesday! Thank you to our student house committee members, Mrs. McClung, Ms. Vogel, & Ms. Weilnau, and all their helpers for organizing the day!

O Lord, grant us, priests! O Lord, grant us, holy priests! O Lord, grant us many holy priests in the Diocese of Toledo! Amen!

“Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.”  (Luke 18: 16-17)

This month our parish collected items for Miriam House in Norwalk in collaboration with Catholic Charities of Toledo. I wish to thank our parishioners who generously donated to this cause! Your donations were delivered this morning.

Miriam House is a transitional housing program that offers safe and stable housing to homeless women, pregnant women and their children. Catholic Charities staff help residents identify issues that have contributed to their homelessness. Clients receive resources and guidance to rebuild their lives and to develop the skills necessary to regain self-sufficiency and to secure stable, independent housing.
