On Thursday Apr 9, 26 Sir Knights (SK) from Assembly's 3486 and 3606 Final Salute Society rendered a final salute at Omaha National Cemetery to 44 veterans who were laid to rest during the month of March. The veterans, both male and female, were from all branches of service. We do this to pay a final respect to our fellow veterans. On this day , seven Sir Knights read out loud all the names of the deceased veterans. SK Deacon Tim Koziel presented the final prayer and blessing, a final salute was rendered and SK Dick Harrington dismissed the Sir Knights.

On Thursday Mar 12, 24 Sir Knights (SK) from Assembly's 3486 and 3606 Final Salute Society rendered a final salute at Omaha National Cemetery to 44 veterans who were laid to rest during the month of February. The veterans, both male and female, were from all branches of service. We do this to pay a final respect to our fellow veterans. On this day , seven Sir Knights read out loud all the names of the deceased veterans. SK Deacon Tim Koziel presented the final prayer and blessing, a final salute was rendered and SK Dick Harrington dismissed the Sir Knights.

Yesterday at Zorinsky Lake hundreds of people plunged in the icy water in support of Special Olympics. A group of Sir Knights, including Mark Borytsky, Jr. and State Deputy Mike Schaeffer from our Assembly and other State officers joined in the plunge. There were so many spectators there it was difficult to see the plunges but District Master Mark Borytsky was able to get several photos.

On this day , SK Denny Haun read the introductory remarks, then SKs Jim Reardon, Pat Brennan, Thad Wolfe,Dave Linbrunner, and Dale Sorge read all 50 names. Yesterday, Aug 14, twenty one Sir Knights (SK) from our Assembly's Final Salute Society rendered a final salute at Omaha National Cemetery to 71 veterans who were laid to rest during the month of July. The veterans, both male and female, were from all branches of service. We do this to pay a final respect to our fellow veterans. Today, SK Ray Romero read the introductory remarks, then SKs Denny Haun, Bob Hasiak, Dave Linbrunner, Thad Wolfe, Bob Lampert, Joe Norman, Richard Doolittle and Rich Lomax read all 71 names. SK Deacon Tim Koziel presented the final prayer and blessing, a final salute was rendered and SK Dick Harrington dismissed the Sir Knights.
