On Thursday Jul 9, 23 Sir Knights (SK) from Assemblies 3486 and 3606 Final Salute Society rendered a final salute at Omaha National Cemetery to 73 veterans who were laid to rest during the month of Jun. The veterans, both male and female, were from all branches of service. We do this to pay a final respect to our fellow veterans. On this day , eight Sir Knights read out loud all the names of the deceased veterans. Deacon Tim Koziel presented the final prayer and blessing, a final salute was rendered and SK Dick Harrington dismissed the Sir Knights. See less

At 7 AM this morning Sir Knights from our Assembly hoisted 53 US flags at the Bellevue Cemetery. It was sprinkling at that time but we decided to go ahead and hoist the flags. We were able to finish right before a big rainstorm moved in. This evening the flags will be lowered by our Knights and taken to their storage location.

On Thursday Jun 11, 19 Sir Knights (SK) from Assemblies 3486 and 3606 Final Salute Society rendered a final salute at Omaha National Cemetery to 77 veterans who were laid to rest during the month of May. The veterans, both male and female, were from all branches of service. We do this to pay a final respect to our fellow veterans. On this day , ten Sir Knights read out loud all the names of the deceased veterans. Deacon Tim Koziel presented the final prayer and blessing, a final salute was rendered and SK Dick Harrington dismissed the Sir Knights.

Sir Knight Honor Guard members from Assemblies 1854 and 3486 are pictured with the celebrants after today's mass at St. John Kanty cemetery in Bellevue. This event is held every year on Memorial Day to honor the veterans who have given their lives in defense of our country.

On Thursday May 14, 18 Sir Knights (SK) from Assemblies 3486 and 3606 Final Salute Society rendered a final salute at Omaha National Cemetery to 43 veterans who were laid to rest during the month of April. The veterans, both male and female, were from all branches of service. We do this to pay a final respect to our fellow veterans. On this day , six Sir Knights read out loud all the names of the deceased veterans. Pictured reading names is SK Dale Sorge, who happened to know one of the deceased on his list. SK Deacon Tim Koziel presented the final prayer and blessing, a final salute was rendered and SK Dick Harrington dismissed the Sir Knights.
