The idea of the Oak and Holly Kings is that Young God/Oak King rules the Summer months while the Old God/Holly King rules the Winter. Each of These is at the height of His power at the respective Solstice. But even though He will reign for many months afterward, the respective Solstice marks the beginning of His decline in power. Thus while the Oak King is at His height at the Summer Solstice, He will be declining thereafter. This is dramatized as a struggle between the two forms of the God.

Juneteenth, officially Juneteenth National Independence Day, is a federal holiday in the United States. It is celebrated annually on June 19 to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. The holiday's name, first used in the 1890s, is a portmanteau of June and nineteenth, referring to June 19, 1865, the day when Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War.

On this day we honor our brothers and sisters of color. Who give so much to our communities. None of us are free, unless we all are free. Enjoy your day.

Correllian Nativist Church - Statement on military coding

We Correllians are a diverse Tradition. People from many backgrounds and professions as well as personal and political beliefs. What unites us is our shared belief in the inherent divinity of all things, our respect and veneration of our Ancestors, and a fierce independence of spirit.

We have many veterans amongst our clergy and outer court. People who served their country as proud Pagans and fought for their right to be recognized as such. We as a Tradition joined the fight to have Pentecles available on headstones, ever fighting to advance the rights and recognition of the Pagan people.

We are horrified by the decision to remove not just paganism but at least 180 different faiths from the list of religions recognized by the US military. It is a step backward from everything we fought so hard to gain and if allowed to stand will make it that much easier for us to be further disenfranchised. Have no doubts, christian dominionism is the goal, and they will use any person or movement or misstep to accomplish that goal. We cannot stand for it. We cannot sit idly and watch as our faith and so many others are delegitimized step by step. It is a slippery slope to a nation in which other faiths are not permitted. To those members of our community that see no issue with this; don’t be surprised when the leopard eats your face too.

We encourage our membership and all Pagans to make sure your voices are heard. Write to your officials, call them, let them know that we exist and our soldiers deserve every ounce of the same recognition and legitimization as a Christian soldier. We are magickal people and we can manifest the world we want.

The Minor Arcana are the four suits of the Tarot, which correspond to the four suits of playing cards. These are commonly rendered as Swords/Spades, Wands/Clubs, Cups/Hearts, Pentacles/Diamonds. The suits of the Minor Arcana differ from those of playing cards by having four court cards rather than three. For most of Tarot’s history, the artwork in the Minor Arcana was handled much like that in playing cards, with the requisite number of each item per card –two cups, three cups, etc. However, the famous Rider-WaiteSmith Tarot deck introduced the idea of illustrating each Minor Arcana card, and that has since become the standard practice for contemporary decks. In Tarot, the Minor Arcana are generally said to refer to the more mundane aspects of life, while the Major Arcana refer to more spiritual aspects, or events of greater importance. It is believed that playing cards predate Tarot, so the Minor Arcana are actually the older part of the deck.

How the spirit perceives the Otherside seems to vary considerably. Always it is described as very pleasant and beautiful. Some people have described peaceful forests and rivers. Others speak of cities of light with great libraries that contain the akashic wisdom of the universe. This is no doubt due in part to the varied ability of the conscious mind to understand what the spirit has experienced, among those who have died and returned. But it may also be due to variations in the level of development among the different spirits, for the spirit gains skill through its many lifetimes.

According to Mable High Correll, former head of the Correllian Tradition, there are many different places in the otherworld, just as there are in this world. Though all go to the same otherworld, where the spirits gravitate to within it is dependent upon both level of development and the amount of rest required to recover from the life just ended.
