NAC Youth St. Louis

For the first time in many years, the STL and KC youth got together for a youth weekend. We made 250 meal kits for the Ronald McDonald House, had a discussion about the Bible and why/how we should study it, did a Bible candy scavenger hunt, then went to Main Event for a couple hours of food, bowling, and games. Sunday we joined the KC congregation for a service held by Pr. Werth. Forgot to get a group picture at the end! We hope to keep this tradition going into the future.

I just want to make a shout out to this group of young adults who took a moment out to show their thankfulness to the Senior members of our faith our family our friends. These young adults gave so much of themselves tonight , many of them stepped out of their comfort zone. I just want you to know how much we appreciate you. As you showed your appreciation to them. Your are each so very special. And my prayers for you is that you know just how special you are in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. You were a joy to work with. Your smiles lighten my heart and all those around you. Thank you again.. and Have a Blessed Christmas season.

Our discussion today spoke of the fruits of the spirit. These are the thoughts of what a God fearing and loving person, someone our young adults, the future of our church, want to see in others. This is how they try and shape their lives. This is what they tell us they want to see in those they choose to share life with.

We had an awesome weekend with our youth in Springfield. We started off our weekend at Lambert's Cafe on Friday. The youth didn't really know each other at this point. By the time we left, I feel a few friendships were made. Saturday morning we spent 3 hours assembling bags of food for children to take home on the weekend so they could eat. We then headed to church for our seminars. The youth were reminded about being clay in God's hands and letting Him mold us according to His will, not our own. They then discussed friendships and what their relationship with God looks like. Sunday's service was from Psalms 71:17, which is the verse on the back of their t-shirts. Priest Eplin reminded us through the Holy Spirit to remain teachable for our entire lives.
