Today, we had the privilege of joining the Belleville community in honoring and remembering Belleville’s Chief of Police Matthew Eiskant.
As the funeral procession passed Zion Lutheran School, our students, faculty, and staff gathered along Carlyle Avenue for a quiet and respectful tribute. It was a meaningful opportunity to show our gratitude and respect for his service to our community and to stand in support of his family, friends, fellow officers, and the entire Belleville Police Department.
Moments like these remind us that we are part of something larger than ourselves, a community called to show compassion, gratitude, respect, and love for our neighbors.
We continue to lift the Chief’s family, friends, the Belleville Police Department, and all who are grieving in our prayers. We especially hold close those within our own school community who are mourning this tremendous loss.
May we never take for granted those who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting our community. 🤍💙🖤
