True worship is not a transaction; it is an offering. Jesus revealed that God is Spirit, and He seeks those who worship Him in spirit and in truth—not for what they can gain, but simply because He is worthy.

When we worship to fulfill our own needs, we make the Creator a means to an end. But true worship is selfless. It is the creature honoring the Creator, expecting nothing in return. It is the purest expression of love, given freely because He alone is deserving. By letting go of our own agendas, we finally become the worshipers He has been seeking all along.
