Isaiah 1:18 puts it plainly -- though our sins are like scarlet, God invites us to reason with him and be made white as snow. Repentance leads to renewal. The redeemer Isaiah promised has come, and he is coming back.

“The glory of the Lord is everything that makes God, God” (John Bevere) Those words might sum up what the book of Isaiah is about. We are beginning a study from the book of Isaiah, looking for the attributes of God – His character, His nature.

Isaiah wrote approximately 700 years before Christ. He wrote about the current struggles of his homeland, but also about the future plans of God. In these writings Isaiah describes who God is.

I want to invite you to look closely, to concentrate on God, and discover this story of hope.

Join us Sunday morning at 10AM as we begin a new sermon series! "'Who Are You?" The Attributes of God." Tomorrow's message, "Serious About God," is based on Isaiah 1:1-20. Invite a friend, grab a cup of coffee in the foyer, check the kids in with our Jr Worship leaders and join us as we dive into God's Word!

We are so excited!! Small Groups start this Sunday, September 6th!! Have YOU signed up for one of these groups yet?

Our Sunday groups will continue meeting on Sunday mornings, AND we're also adding a couple of weekday options:

From 6-7:30pm on:
🏠 Tuesdays at The Smith's house
🏠 Wednesdays at The Hargrave's house
🏠Thursdays Young Adults at The Gable's house

Our heart behind Small Groups is simple: doing life together. We believe we grow stronger in faith and community when we’re walking alongside one another—not doing life alone.

Our hope is that everyone will find a place to connect—whether that’s Sunday mornings or in a small group during the week or BOTH!!

📍 Sign-up information is available in the foyer with a brochure, QR code, and sign-up sheet.

If you have questions, please reach out to Doug or Stacey. We’re looking forward to seeing how God uses these groups to help us grow together! 🙌

"Don't fall asleep in your faith. Eutychus nearly missed everything — but God restored him. The question is: are you here because you love Jesus, or just out of habit? Wake up. Pursue God. Fix your eyes on Him."

Scenes from Sunday !!

What a glorious morning to be in the house of the Lord worshiping with you all! This week we welcomed a new Elder to our leadership here at FCCB. We say new, but actually, Joe was an Elder here years ago. Joe started attending church here at FCCB in 1978. He was baptized 1980. He served as an Elder from 2011 to 2019. Joe took some time off to take care of his family. Last Sunday, we welcomed Joe back as an Elder. Doug, Stacey,Mike, John, and Scott, prayed over Joe for his service to the Lord and our church once again. WELCOME back Joe!

We have LOVED this "Wild and Wonderful, Stories From the Bible," series! Doug has brought so many of these stories to life over the last several months and has challenged us in growing our faith. This week we concluded the series with a message about what happens when faith falls asleep. In Acts 20, a young man named Eutychus literally dozed off during Paul's sermon and fell from a third-story window. God restored him that day -- but the deeper warning is for all of us: there is real danger in letting your faith fall asleep spiritually.

Are you wide awake in your walk with Jesus? Or have distractions, busyness, and the noise of world slowly lulled you into a spiritual slumber? Jesus calls us in Matthew 6:33 to seek his kingdom first -- above everything else competing for our attention.

The good news is that the same God who raised Eutychus is alive and present with us today. He is pursuing YOU even now.

If we don't have a relationship with Jesus, then it's impossible for us to know what the spiritual things of God are about.
