MONTHLY CHILDREN'S HOLY HOUR TONIGHT - All children five years and older (along with their families) are invited to the Children's Holy Hour (Monday June 8), beginning at 7:30PM in the Main Church. Since this will be the last such gathering before the summer, it will conclude with refreshments (parents are most welcome to bring along something to eat and drink).

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION - The Corpus Christi Procession began at St. Peter in 2010, soon after the arrival of our current pastor. What started off as a small procession has grown to what it is today: a parish-wide celebration of thanksgiving for the Gift of the Holy Eucharist. Regardless to which Mass you will attend this Sunday, make sure to join us at the procession, which begins at the Church steps at 12:30PM and ends with Solemn Benediction at 1PM. FR. JOSE' MIGUEL SERAFINI - After rejoicing two Saturdays ago at his Ordination to the Sacred Priesthood and partaking of the blessings at his First Mass at St. Peter on Pentecost Sunday, let us accompany Fr. Jose' Miguel with our prayers, as he today begins his assignment as Parochial Vicar at St. Aloysius Church in Caldwell. His new pastor - Msgr. Robert Emery - is no stranger to St. Peter's, having served at our parish for a number of years. Please also pray for Fr. Jose' Miguel's seven classmates, as they also begin to serve Christ's flock at their respective parishes.

MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS CELEBRATION - The Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians, popularized by the Salesians of St. John Bosco, is traditionally celebrated on May 24. The Coro de Maria Auxiliadora, originally founded in Azogues, Ecuador, annually animates a special Mass in Her honor at St. Peter. This year, due to the conflict with Pentecost Sunday, it had to be moved back by a few days. Yet this did not dampen the joy of the many devotees - many dressed in traditional garb - who came from different nearby towns for the celebration, which this year was officiated by Fr. David.

IN THE NEWS - We are grateful to Joseph Ungaro, editor of the Belleville Post, for always being so eager to feature our parish events in the local paper. The June copy is a case in point. Copies of the Belleville Post are available at the back of the Church, as well as the rectory lobby.
