"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." — Joshua 1:9

Some weeks begin with excitement. Others begin with uncertainty, difficult decisions, or burdens we would rather not carry.

As we start this new week, God reminds us that courage is not the absence of fear—it is trusting that He walks beside us through every challenge. Whatever lies ahead, you do not face it alone. The Lord is already present in the conversations you'll have, the work you'll do, the people you'll encounter, and the crosses you'll carry.

Take one step at a time. Trust God's guidance. Lean on His strength. And remember that His grace is always sufficient for today.

🙏 What is one thing you need God's strength for this week? Share your intention below so our Cathedral family can pray for you.

May God bless you and your loved ones with courage, peace, and hope throughout the week ahead.

Saint John Henry Newman took the episcopal motto Cor ad cor loquitur (“Heart speaks unto heart”), understanding that the Lord saves us by speaking to our hearts from his Sacred Heart. It was in the Holy Eucharist, the greatest form of praise to God, that Saint John Henry Newman cultivated his deepest encounter with the living heart of Jesus. Let us pray with Saint John Henry Newman so that we might hear the Sacred Heart speak to us when we praise and adore Jesus in the Eucharist.

"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established." — Proverbs 16:3

A new month brings new opportunities, new challenges, and new chances to grow in faith. As we begin June, take a moment to place your plans, worries, hopes, and goals into God's hands.

We often feel pressure to have everything figured out, but God simply asks us to trust Him one step at a time. Whether you're facing a busy week, caring for loved ones, making important decisions, or simply striving to be faithful in everyday life, remember that you do not walk alone.

May this month be filled with God's grace, peace, and the confidence that He is guiding your path.

🙏 What intention or blessing are you praying for this June? Share it in the comments so our Cathedral family can pray with you.
