Today we had an amazing opportunity to support our young military families that are expecting a new child. Thanks to Sophia Mascia and Lisa Vass-Roman of the Scott AFB Catholic Chapel, Life, Marriage and Family was able to support a community baby shower that showered love and community on 16 moms that are expecting this year. Thank you to all of the individuals, businesses and church groups that generously provided gifts, quilts, food, plants, and love to these young families!

Are you expecting, adopting, or fostering? St. Peter's Cathedral young adults are sponsoring a Mass and Mingle event on April 12, 2026. Bishop-elect Godfrey will bless the families at the 5 PM Mass, which will be followed by a pizza reception in the Undercroft. Please join us, and invite your friends!

It was a beautiful day to witness to life! Thousands gathered today in Springfield, IL to march for the dignity of life at all stages. The Diocese of Belleville was represented by 100 students and adults from across Southern Illinois. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the Solemnity of St. Joseph!
