⛪️ Sacred AND Secular: Faith in the Everyday 🛒
Ever feel like there’s a division between "church life" and "real life"? Like Sunday belongs to God, but Monday belongs to the grind?
What if that division was never God’s idea? 🤔
This Sunday, we are continuing our Both/And series by tearing down the wall between the sacred and the secular. From the boardroom to the classroom, the kitchen to the workplace, God is already there. The holy can always be found in the ordinary.
🥖 Ordinary Elements, Extraordinary Grace
This week, we’ll see this truth come alive in two powerful ways:
Communion: We will gather around the table where everyday elements—bread and cup—are transformed into a sacred meal and a reminder of God's grace in our daily lives.
Our Partnership with HOME: You can turn everyday items into tangible signs of hope and dignity for our neighbors.

✨ New Worship Series: Both/And ✨

In a world that constantly forces us to choose sides, Jesus invites us into something much bigger. This Sunday at Montgomery United Methodist Church, we are kicking off a brand-new worship series: Both/And — Living the Fullness of Faith.

Throughout this series, we’ll explore what it means to move past "either/or" division and live as a people deeply rooted in grace, compassion, and relationship.

We are starting this journey in the most joyful way possible! Join us this week as we celebrate:

Baptisms: Remembering that before we achieve anything or have all the answers, we are already claimed and loved by God.

🕊️ The miracle of Pentecost is not that everyone suddenly became the same. The miracle is that people who were different could finally understand one another. 🔥

This week, Pastor Jess returns home spiritually full and deeply grateful after a powerful time away at the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference and participating in a national Jewish-Christian dialogue in Washington, D.C.

From celebrating the ordination of new Elders to learning how to listen deeply across differences, one powerful truth stood out: the Church is at its best not when we all think alike, but when the Holy Spirit helps us love alike.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate Pentecost—the arrival of the Holy Spirit, the birth of the Church, and God’s ongoing invitation to speak the language of love, grace, and justice in a divided world.

At Montgomery UMC, we celebrate the diverse ways maternal love shapes our lives. Whether you are a biological mother, an adoptive mom, a foster parent, a godmother, an aunt, a teacher, or a "bonus" mom to someone in need of guidance, we see you and we thank you.

GOLD & BRONZE for our very own Brandon Reid! 🏆🥇🥉

We are so proud to announce that Brandon is a double medalist! Last week, our own Brandon Reid won Gold in the 50M dash and Bronze in the mini javelin throw at the Mercer County Area Games!

Look at that smile and those medals!
